I disagree that Trump has had no impact. Confidence is up - and hope is very important. They should get rid of Obamacare, lower corporate taxes/repatriate money abroad (use for infrastructure/training) and aim for energy independence/supplier. Why not create American jobs at the same time as sticking it to Russia and Iran?
Ummm how is that relevant to facts?

You can have all the confidence and hope all you want but that alone doesn't get you anything.

Is the bar so low that hope and confidence is enough these days?

Like dubya's accomplices, the Repugs will probably allow repatriation of many $100Bs of BigCorp profits at a ridiculously stupidly low tax rate with some bull quid pro quo. BigPharma, etc brough back $200B in the 2000s with a promise more jobs, then quickly fired 40K.

Please disentangle for us the stock market confidence that Trash has allegedly inspired from the confidence that goes back YEARS into Obama's term.

Confidence, hope (and at ude) - I think, are key. It's what gets you to try new things, take chances and risks. When one doesn't have confidence and hope, you retreat/withdraw, stand pat/cut back, you protect what you have. When dh and I started out and the kids came along, I quit my good paying government job - we started a new business - sometimes when I look back at the risks we took, I question my sanity (I was completely dependent financially on him with 3 kids under 5). But it taught self-reliance, made us look at different ways of making money (like bit coin and day trading) and built trust and family spirit. The hopelessness that I see and hear in this generation is disheartening. I want my kids to have the same optimism and hopefulness that we had when we were young. So, yes, I do think that hope and confidence are very important.

I ask for numbers, you give me names. Jeez.

    state votes electoral
    NH 2701------ 4
    MI 13080---- 16
    MN 19995---- 4
    NV 26434 6
    WI 27257 10
    MI 44470 10
    -----------------------------=== 50 electoral college votes.
    PN 68236 20
    AZ 91982 11
    FL 114455 29
    NC 177009 15

Total votes required to change outcome of the election:
    133,937

133,937/2 = number of people required to switch. (remember each person means minus one for choice A, and plus one for choice B, a difference of two)

    66968.5, round up.

    66969 votes.

.0519% of the electorate in very localized areas.

    http://www.calculator.net/sample-size-calculator.html

You want to get a null hypothesis, and start reading.

I will give you a hint, your sample is neither scientific (i.e. random), nor large enough to detect that.
