I didn't watch it either. Just the thought of him reneging on this made me blanch.

trump's FP will get the least amount of resistance from the democrats as they signed off on war mongering years ago. and the media would rather stir up tensions with russia. it'd also be great if this country was half as concerned with wars as it is with statues.

BS. The war in Afghanistan will never end as long as opium is produced. Since the US invasion 15 years ago, opium production has increased 30X in Afghanistan - with the Taliban and US-backed forces vying for control of the product. It's manifesting itself in the heroin epidemic and opioid abuse in America. It's a nice closed loop with the weapons manufacturers, the pharma firms and the banks all making money at the expense of US soldiers, Afghan civilians and US addicts.
But by all means feel free to believe that Trump is going to deliver on this - just like he delivered on healthcare, the national debt, America's trade deficit, China's currency manipulation, the Middle East, Chicago's murder rate and locking up Hillary.
