You going to do anything other than try to big time, tell us your narrative in your head that you have about me, and make brain dead analogies? You know like talk about the state as opposed to talk around the subject like lying pieces of are prone to do?

The proper analogy would be "like calling California a 3rd world state then citing Los Angeles and San Francisco.' See, Lexington and Louisville -like the aforementioned two-- are the two largest metro areas in their states. IF you really want to bash large sections of California as opposed to sounding like some got that watches a lot of TV you should try the stretch from Bakersfield to Modesto.

But as ty as that area of the San Joaquin Valley is, it does not hold a candle to Eastern Kentucky. Stretches of the area did not have running water until the 1990s. I know a family from the area that thought they were somebody because they got plumbing first.

Frankly if you like the area up North you might as well keep going into the actual river valley in Ohio. If you like the rolling hills areas to the south you might as well keep trucking to Nashville than deal with the people there in KY. If you like the west or East you're just a dumb . Shoe does seem to fit with you though.

Although it does make a certain amount of sense that you are from TN and pine for KY you remind me more than a little than some trailer trash I ran into around southern Louisville. You would fit right in with them.
OK cubicle boy, Google geography lessons don't impress me. Way to show how bifurcated your feeble mind is.

Neither. I'm asking why travelling to Kentucky is somehow easier than travelling to other states.
I think it's somehow easier to travel from DC to Kentucky than to Alaska, for example.

    Somehow. Just a hunch.

No, you take off, you cruise, you land. The ticket prices between the two can be about 100 dollars different. Yeah, such a chore afford that.

Just admit you made non-sequitur comment and move on to your spamming.

    By using italics?

    Nope.

It is somehow easier to travel from DC to Kentucky than to Alaska.

    Somehow.

This I believe. The italics remain. If you feel the need to defend the honor of Kentucky again, that's your business. It's nice. Easy to get to from DC relative to Alaska.

You wouldn't admit being impressed no matter what. You are petty like that. And what exactly do you think I got from Google maps?

Still waiting for you to demonstrate any knowledge of the area. Your fondness for white trash is noted.

So exactly what is it about KY that you like so much? Is it the rampant Christian literalism running around the area? All those billboards with the stupid god stuff on them and all those churches under metal roofs? Every house with a pieced out car in front or all those appliances and commodes in the yard?

    That place is a hole.

Also, I am an atheist. You're batting 1.000 there nuts.

You can try to deflect but you don't know about Kentucky is all I am getting from you.

For something so wonderful you have an obvious inability to articulate how it is so.

And dumb I never insinuated that you were a devout christian. I was just describing what it is like driving around in the area. The whole state is full of run down churches in metal buildings with billboards promoting them. If you had been there you would know that. Great place for an atheist

Then of course you have all the meth and pillheads.

I've been in Louisville, Lexington, and Cincinnati. That is how I know what the deal with KY is. I've been in the Carolinas, Virginia, and Tennessee too. That is how I know about the place. Everyone in the surrounding areas thinks it's a hole too. Cause it is.

You thinking Kentucky is the poor side of Lexington says enough about you to know you just hate it because it's a red state. You've only been in the city, probably to do some field service work.
For something so wonderful you have an obvious inability to articulate how it is so.
Others here have been to Kentucky. I don't need to paint them a picture.

Kentucky is more than the triangle you use to ingress and egress, and that 2 star hotel where you stayed (or the hole mexican restaurant up the street from it).

At least now I know why you went. You interviewed everyone in the area about the state of Kentucky, thus your stupid remark.

Why would I like it that biblical literalism is practiced if I am not a Christian?

You're really tweaked off. I don't drive around reading billboards and getting offended.

Oh the line by line. Fatty is worked up now.

Still nothing indicating you know about the place. Instead you make up stories about the hotels I stayed in and display poor critical thinking. More on that in a sec.

I have a good friend who lives in Cinci. I meet up with him and a couple of others every few years to hit up Kentucky Downs or go to King's Island. I know people that live in both Lexington and Louisville. I never said it was a triangle. I was just saying where I have been and actually stayed. I've been through Arkansas several times and with all the rice growers, that state smells like all the time too. I don't knwo what they think there I have never stayed nor wanted to.

It is funny that you mention a mexican restaurant because the last one I was in in Kentucky smelled like a cat box. We left. When you go to the derby its better to stay in Nashville than it is Louisville. A friend of mine who drove down from Michigan last time we went told me that there were billboards in Indiana that told Kentuckians to go home.

I also never said that Lexington was the poor part. I said you remind me of the trailer trash in southern Louisville for a reason, tubby. That being said it is not all that great and the area around it is full of some of the most backwards people for 500 miles. If you are looking for Appalachia and a good time then go to Charlotte that way you can work your way up tobacco road and up into Richmond. I really like the area around Hampton and Norfolk.

And for s same, dim, I was being facetious about you liking the churches and billboards. That should have been obvious given the adjectives that I used. I get that you are all worked up but I recommend rereading what I wrote and trying harder on the critical thinking. That is just sad, fattie.

    "been through".

That's like saying "I've been through Texas, and with the flooding in Houston that state is a swamp" You're narrow minded as , naive and a braggart. You're fun to with because of it.

Of course. You went to a Mexican restaurant in Kentucky. Your anecdotes are cute. You're a world traveler, when you go visit your friends.

So am I a field service worker or am I a cubicle worker?

And I said you are worked up because you went with the line by line and have now fantasized with yourself as a character from a western and other assorted megalomania. It is what it is.

Anywho, you've demonstrated no knowledge about KY nor any reason why anyone should want to go there. Plus you are boring. I'm off to do something else.

    Ciao, fattie.

Same thing, you're a clock puncher. You manage an inventory, a trunk stock. You think you're intelligent because the biomedical equipment you "fix" is more cool than what you think other people do.

lol, someone who names themselves after a cartoon character from the Powder Puff Girls talking about "fantasizing".

I went in without KY. This we know.

A trip to Kentucky cost about the same as a trip anywhere else in the US.. so.. ?

You act like Kentucky is a 3rd world country. Kentucky is one of the nicest states in the US. If you've ever driven through it and weren't posting on ST during the time, you'd have seen just how wealthy it is.
I've been to Kentucky--nothing special about it.

Kentucky is a much prettier place than Texas, that's for sure. Mammoth Caves are awesome.

I mean, I'd never move there. Texas is flat, boring, basic as , and also a better place to live. But a vacation in Kentucky is exponentially better than a vacation in Texas.

Go on a horse farm tour, tour the bourbon distilleries, there are some really old, huge estates there. If you go to the urban areas in most cities you're going to find . Kentucky isn't just the urban areas just like Arkansas isn't just the rice fields next to the roads Fuzz Nuts traveled on. Btw, the Mississippi flyway and those rice fields in Arkansas and Missouri offer some of the best duck and goose hunting in the US.

Sure, Colorado is beautiful as well, so is California and Arkansas and Missouri and a lot of other states and places. Because I think most states have natural beauty, I don't think Utah is special in that sense. All states are special, which means none are, I suppose. Maybe Florida isn't that special, it's got pretty views on the shoreline but everything else is a hole.

    46th in per capita income.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...GDP_per_capita

42nd in GDP per capita over 20% below the national average.

But they have distilleries and horse ranches!

Protip: most of the people at the derby are from out of town.
