After lighting up some pretty good/elite college defenses I think there's realistic hope that Watson could develop into a good NFL starter. He has a big frame so he should be able to withstand the hits he's gonna take this year (especially with the scrambling). Houston needs to continue to throw him into the fire and start opening up the playbook, no sense waiting...his floor is probably Jacoby Brissett but his ceiling could be perennial Top-10 if he continues to develop. Savage's ceiling is Sage Rosenfels, while his floor is an infinite abyss. They just have to weather the inevitable growing pains this year, but they are in the enviable position of being able to get their rookie QB some burn while still remaining in the playoff picture due to their pathetic division.
Something that was said about him repeatedly at camp was he never made the same mistake twice.

As much as I wanted to wait, on the job training is now an inevitability. The thing holding him back most...and this goes for opening up the playbook for him...is that most of his supporting cast is injured. With a offensive line, only a few healthy receivers and no TE's, it's hard to for him to develop much past where he is right now. He's about to get 10 days worth of practices with the first team. Hopefully between that and some players getting healthy Houston can show a little more flexibility offensively.

Get ready to see a whole season full of epic Lechler moments. His foot might fall off by week 12 given your offense

Watson now needs the coaching staft to realize what they have and run an offense that fits who he is.

Shot gun , do things off the run, this is not the classic stand tall in the pocket, that's being weeded out.
The "classic stand tall in the pocket" has won four of the last five Super Bowls and six of the last ten MVPs. Teams around the league are tanking the season to draft the "classic stand tall in the pocket" in the form of Sam Darnold or Josh Rosen.

Storyline: Tom Brady, the GOAT and fiercest compe or to play the game, will look to avenge his terrible Week 1 home loss in a major way as he roars into New Orleans to defeat the struggling Saints who just got 29 points hung on them by the no-offense Vikings. I expect around 40 points from the Patriots offense.
I feel much better now especially after you picked the Saints to win at Minnesota.

I guess I overlooked the Vikings being an early-season hot team as they usually are before flaming out just before or around midseason every year.

You sold yourself short on that one, lol. At least include Eli and make it 5 of 6. I don't know what kind of QB you consider Rodgers.

I'm most interested in PHI-KC and TEN-JAX right now for the early slate. Who is the best team in the AFC South?

WOW! Jacoby Brissett is making Luck looking expendable. BUT is Arizona so bad and the NFC West so one dimensional this year?

This Patroits-Saints game is going how I expected so far.

On a side note I like Tony Romo as color commentary.

Sproles needs to ing retire. Just spotted KC points. The only way ANYONE loses to KC is blundering, that's literally their gameplan... WHY DO TEAMS keep blundering and risk taking against KC? I don't get it.

Eagles have the worst special teams in the league.

Will KC ever not get lucky on special teams?
