    I am starting to think of Gasol's contract as sunk cost. Spurs don't usually sign with the intention to trade anyone. It looks gloomy, but I even thought it was very important to retain him beyond this season bc Aldridge might walk.

    In my mind if they have the knowledge Aldridge is likely to leave it would even reinforce Rudy's comments about "being a Spurs for life".
