Hey Writer, where'd you get your info? I couldn't find current data, only through 7/03.

Dallas-Fort Worth is a metro area, well more a CMSA/PMSA.
San Antonio as of now is the 8th largest city passing Dallas last summer.
It's also been noted that San Antonio will soon pass San Diego for 7th largest city.

According to new data from the Census Bureau, San Antonio is poised to surpass San Diego as the nation's seventh largest city. San Antonio will slide into the seventh slot around 2010 if it continues to grow at the same rate it has since 2000. The city had the third-largest population increase in the nation from July 1, 2003, to July 1, 2004, adding 22,000 people. Just last year, Census numbers moved San Antonio from ninth to eighth on the list, bypassing Dallas for the first time.

Also, we're the third fasting growing city in the nation. Behind only Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
Cool, thanks! I went to the Census Bureau site and got confused. It's too late in the day for me to have to actually think to find something on that site.

But we are still "small market" go figure....![]()
Man, he just doesn't stop. City size means very little. SA's MSA is 40th in population in the US.
And to throw a bone to the San Antonihomers, SA is indeed a pleasant place to live.
