At '07 being help from the league / refs. The rule was automatic. The league obviously wanted league darlings Suns to eliminate (at the time) ratings killer Spurs, but knew they'd have lost all credibility by not upholding a rule bereft of discretion.

The usual pretending Suns definitely would have won, while conveniently ignoring Spurs controlling majority of series (double digit leads in 4 of 6 games, which at the time was relatively meaningful), Suns being back at full strength for game 6, Spurs history of owning Suns and championship pedigree. You'd never see this type of blatant disrespect lobbied toward the O'Neal Lakers or current Warriors.
yeah nobody ever talks about the officiating they got against Sacto or Portland'14, '05, '03, '99, '07.

2014 was like a Disney film after the gut-punch of 2013. I think it will be the most remembered and appreciated. Now 2005 was a better Finals, but as a “Championship” it’s ‘14 for me.
1998: Rookie Tim Duncan ushering pretend GOAT Jordan out of the league on a loss. Definitely my favorite.
I didn’t like our opponent in 2003, but that team was fun to watch. Beating LA and then beating Dallas to take us to the Finals was fun. Stephen Jackson and Steve Kerr lighting up Dallas has a lot to do with me picking 2003 as my favorite. 2014 was second because we beat the Heatles after beating ourselves in 2013. 1999 was third on my list because it was our first. It would probably be first on my list if it weren’t a shortened season and if the Knicks were good. 2005 against Detroit was the best as far as compe ion. That Pistons team was damn good.

Definitely the 2005 championship... I hated Detroit and they were a tough out... That Horry shot was one of my favorite spurs moments... And of course Tim Duncan single handedly winning the game for us in the clincher...
When you are a fan of a team for 23 years without a championship and then you finally get one, that's a feeling that can't be topped. 2014 was equally amazing I'd say, with the story surrounding it. Being there in person made it even more special.
I'd probably give '14 the nod because I shared it with my kiddo.

2013 was my favorite Finals, save for the ending (yeah yeah, Mrs. Lincoln and all that). 2014 was great because the team actually managed to get better than theh had been the year before.
Exactly. Especially after the WCF loss to Houston in 95. Seemed like it was never going to happen.
Elliott's Memorial Day Miracle shot of those playoffs is probably the top of all sports moments to me. It's neck and neck with the Horry shot.
But once Elliott's shot went down, I felt like the Spurs were really going to do it.
Myself being a fan since their arrival in1973, I would have to say 1999. It was like I was pinching myself to make sure it was real during that run. Having said that, 2014 was magical.
2014 because it was redemption for 2013. One of the Miami players said the "Beautiful Game" was the best example of team basketball he had ever seen--and it was. Besides, I was there because my son paid for our tickets and took me to the game just like I used to take him back in the 70s to the 80s from when he was a little boy. A true Kodak moment.

Spurs fans had it real good during the 2000s if one of the championships was considered meh. 07 was still satisfying since they blew their best shot at repeating in 06.

Beating the unstoppable Lakers in 2003 felt far better than anything in 2005 IMO..I hadn't grown to hate those Suns teams yet and I actually kind of liked those Pistons for what they did to LA the previous season..
2007 was a nice time on the internet, tasting the tears of Suns fans and all non-Spurs fans, but nothing special, overall..I was too young to enjoy 1999 as much as I enjoyed the others..
Would have been cool to see the 2015 team against the Warriors(despite the injuries), but Matt Barnes(still can't believe that) and Paul had other ideas
the 2003 Spurs team just wasn't very good, especially on offense. The defense was often like Jeckyll and Hyde, we'd put the vice grips on for long stretches only to have teams run trains on us other parts of games -- this led to a lot of blown leads that year. Take away Timmy that year and that's a high to mid lottery team. That made it pretty extra special when we put all we had together, beat the damn Lakers finally and won the damn thing.
Yeah the Marbury Suns sucked and they gave us all sorts of fits. Yeah the East was atrocious and the Nets weren't a high quality opponent, but that was the year before... LeBron came into the league AND the Pistons got Rasheed. The Nets still took us to 6 games and almost 7, which maybe says more about how mediocre the Spurs were that year, but it was still extremely satisfying as a 9 year old boy to *finally* get over that hump and beat the evil Lakers.
2005 was satisfying because 0.4 sucked (the 2004 offseason was nice to get the Lakers out of the way for awhile) and the Finals was all-time great unless you're one of those stupid media pundits who can't watch a basketball game where one team doesn't score at least 110 points. Millennial ball is stupid, imo no fun just watching everyone chuck threes all game. I prefer the points to be at more of a premium, it makes offense more exciting and enjoyable, but that's just me.
I was old enough to remember the All Star game when it was compe ive instead of a glorified 3's and dunks contest and the players actually played defense. And the dunk contest when it was enjoyable, decent to good players actually participated, and there was a time and attempts limit. That was fun. Today's crap... bleh. Maybe I'm too old, even though I'm only 24.
Wouldn't have been that way if D-Rob would have accepted his position as 1B.
2014 because I was there at game 5. I saw the Spurs win a championship with my dad on father's day.
2005 is tied. I vividly remember watching game 5 on TV and that being one of the most emotionally intense events of my life up to that point.
