I would agree that they didn’t probably think he would miss so much, but then again this seemed like a really risky roster with both age and known injury.
Why would he want to punish himself?

Well, our 20 point loss suddenly balloons to 35. I wish I was in Vegas to bet on this upcoming horrible debacle.
Yes there were a lot of potentially risky scenarios and they all played out. I’ve adjusted my expectations for this year and I’m just enjoying seeing Manu out there and watching the young guys improve. It’s next season that looks even more worrisome with Kawhi’s situation being so strange. I’ll keep my hopes up high for an incredible post ASB where the pendulum swings our way for a change.
What other options were there? Things didn’t go initially planned...they went the safe route in hopes to see if WCF G1/ regular season compe iveness was legit. The Warriors themselves said before the season the Spurs are and have been their toughest match. It’s unfortunate health hasn’t been on our side..
Should sit Manu too, tbh... go all out with the kids... what’s the point anyways
Spurs don’t want to lose. They have had plenty of days off and the guys sitting are legit injured.
They also need to actually compete in the standings now, no more throwing takes away due to rest..
