I don't have a great feel for this game. The Spurs have the obvious motivational edge and the Trail Blazers are due to continue to regress to their mean, but Aldridge is due for some of the same, as are the Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde home/road splits of this team.

For me it depends on the seed. If it’s 3-4, make the playoffs and see what happens. If not, then I’d prefer the lottery knowing Kawhi won’t be back for the playoffs. Late lottery is a crappy lottery pick but it’s better than 20-30. At least we have a shot of getting 10 players that we like but are gone by 28.
