it's always been about trump and collusion which isn't a crime anyhow. problem is, the dems were the ones to collude and well mueller's witch hunt proceeds and seeps into every knock and cranny it can to bring up whatever dirt it can without staying on its original path of investigating collusion.

Once Comey was outed, the scope of the trial got bigger. The trial has zero to do with collusion. Manafort’s next trial is not a question of collusion with Russians either. You have to read what the charges are. Read. Not one person so far has gone on trial for collusion with the Russians. It’s lying concerning these questions followed up with a huge dose of wealthy people dodging tax laws and dealing with countries one is not supposed to.
Rich liars that don’t pay their share. Ok now. Or always have been. I don’t mind a bit that their dealings with foreign en ies has shed light on their lying and cheating.

Manafort’s bookkeeper, Heather Washkuhn, also testified Thursday that she had no knowledge that Manafort had any foreign holdings.
But the Mueller team was rebuffed by Ellis on Wednesday when it first tried to introduce photos of Manafort’s closets, filled with suits and other high-end articles of clothing. Ellis noted that those photos would eventually become fodder for the media, and called them "unnecessary" for jurors to see.
“Enough is enough. We don’t convict people because they have a lot of money and throw it around,” he said.

Manafort has not one shred of evidence to deny his financial misdeeds. Zero. They called zero witnesses to deny the prosecutions claims. It all rests on the jury thinking his slimy associate Gates is just as bad. That’s all they got, and it may work. This has zero to do with what Manafort has done. Probably why Manafort risked it. He was done by admitting stuff. Dude is in the end years anyways.

You don't need witnesses to deny claims. You need them to support claims. The court is supposed to presume innocence until proven guilty, so burden of proof is on the accuser.
And it has been met in a most thorough manner.
IF Manafort’s attorneys had any witnesses on contrived financial transactions he would have brought them forward immediately. They could not even make headway crossexamining the prosecution’s witness on Manafort’s financial misdeeds except to say Gates was worse.
The case is so obvious. But so was OJs... quite a bit less so than this one imo. His only hope, a jury member that does not listen to the charges brought or the evidence.
Before this investigation I never heard of the guy so him.

As I said this distrct court has almost 100% conviction rate
Manafort was doomed before this trial started
