Nike is for poor people anyway. Respectable Whites wear Adidas or New Balance.....to the gym or Sunday shopping. Low class individuals wear gym shoes at night or out on the town. Wearing basketball shows to a restaurant

I toured a factory in the upper Midwest where the workers punch in in the morning, go to their assigned stations, and perform a single repe ive task all day long, in a fully enclosed building without windows, while a single flashing red light in front of them indicates whether they are moving at the correct, designated pace. If they move too slowly the light grows brighter, and flashes faster, until they get back on task. A horn sounds for a 30 minute lunch break, with a 5 minute (timed) morning and afternoon bathroom break, again signaled with a sounding horn. Otherwise their days are spent occupying the same 4 square-foot space, doing the exact same task. Pavlov-inspired...no human communication with management unless you f'up your duties, and then it's just to escort you out while they plug in your replacement. All this fun pays around $13 an hour, which, hopefully, will pay the rent for a mobile home space and some scraps to feed the family if the spouse is chipping in.


I'd say there are some existences where the zoo animals are better off.

I interned at a GM plant in Marion, IN just like that. And those were the jobs everybody fought for in that town.
