Yeah, I think the PATFO made an error on that decision. For 7.9/year vs 7.5/year, I would have taken Kyle 7 days a week....He's a better overall player and has more fixable holes in his game. Bertans will always have T-rex arms, while Anderson has a hesitation about shooting - one of these is fixable, and one of these isn't.

I thought it was a bad decision at the time. Bertans is bad. He's not even good enough at shooting to make him matter and we sure could use a decent defender on the wing plus another ball handler. Not referring letting KA go, but signing Bertans was dumb.

Idk if either are fixable. Anderson hadn't made big leaps the years he was here offensively. He showed flashes occasionally but was never consistent. And theoretically having guys to space the floor with Gay/LMA was important. (They may have even been confident in the DeRozan trade which is another reason they felt spacing was important) at the time.

At this time, I agree with this. Anderson has a lot more utility.

What is everyone expecting of Bertans? He is what he is, an energy stretch big off the bench that is only good for shooting and can get hot now and then. He is basically a taller streaky korver at this point. Probably all he'll ever be Imo

I agree, he's a Korver type player that needs to have plays called for him. Perhaps he can learn from Belinelli on how to move without the ball and shoot on the move.

If the Spurs are able to somehow be top 10 in defense with our personnel, that would be Pops best coaching job ever. Long shot but I'm intrigued to see how good his scheme truly is.
