tbh he does look chubby and should lose some weight.
Pau is second on the team in PER with a 21.9, yet so many here hate him and want him gone. Odd. Some stems from the contract, others just want a target.
Meanwhile, Patty's PER is a whopping 6.5. Yet, so many equate them.
Dallas starting Jordan-Barnes-Matthews-Doncic-SmithJr. It'll be interesting to see if Spurs repeat starting line-up with Aldridge-Bertans-Cunningham-DeRozan-Forbes or if Gay or a second big return to the initial 5.
Some team stats:
PTS/G: 111.7 (16th of 30) Opp PTS/G: 117.7 (22nd of 30) Pace: 101.5 (14th of 30) Off Rtg: 110.1 (16th of 30) Def Rtg: 116.0 (25th of 30)
They're not good from 3pt and they allow good FG,3pt %s.
Spurs must continue defensive progression, controlling Doncic's playmaking and Carlisle collective game.
Spurs killers Matthews and Barnes, and now they added Doncic. Spurs can’t take this team lightly. Dante on Barnes. Demar on Matthews. Doncic with a guardlike speed, is the mismatch, too fast for Gay. I hate to say it, Davis has to start. He can’t make him a facilitator nor scorer, tall order. LMA should be able to post up Jordan. GSG![]()
Pau's historic problem: he makes amazing numbers but his game doesn't reflect them. By contrast, watching him play looks like he's coasting or simply not playing hard enough. Hugely talented and smart player still contributing all around at 38 years old.
This summer he clearly did his homework and came to the training camp in good shape. He looks better coming from the bench and not facing starting units. This is the main difference between his last year as starting C and this season as replacing center.
The Mavs would be a problem if they played Doncic on his best position. Most of the time they just put him in the corner and make Wesley Matthews their go to guy. And with Smith and Barnes bricking shots that just helps other teams. Carlisle needs to realize that Doncic is the best when he has the ball most of the time and not be ignored by his re ed teammates. When Matthews is shooting 15+ times a game you know the team is a joke.
Cuban wants another high draft pick so he is tanking again
Spurs need to string together a little winning streak .. Dallas and Phoenix wins would be nice but like someone else said .. Spurs not good enough to assume wins .. every night will be a dog fight .. Spurs going to have to scrape for every win
"Mills may start on the bench, waving a towel to celebrate a big play and motivate teammates, but once he enters the game, opponents feel his presence immediately. If it’s not via 3-pointer, it’s some cutting or backdoor action that results in a layup. “Any given night he can give you 30,” said Minnesota Timberwolves guard Derrick Rose. “That’s what I respect about him. You always have to give him respect. You always got to come out and play hard because you never know with him. He’s one of those sparky guards. You never know. He can change the game.”
Man do I hope a lot of NBA teams view Mills like that. That would make it a lot easier to trade him. 30he scored 30 twice in his entire career
This is a game the Spurs should win with some ease if it's true they are better than mediocre.
So every regular season game now is like a playoff game for some spurs fans....![]()
When you're a garbage defensive team, literally no game should be considered "easy"![]()
They're not. Mavs by 10 tbh
True. Don’t forget when you only have two players capable of scoring 25 points...
Bryn gonna score 25+ tonight
Nope, cant have that around here anymore. Here have this instead!

I hope we win comfortably. We need a double digit win in our lives.
If they defend like they did in the 2nd half of the Lakers game, it should be easy.
I would feel confident in saying Mills will never score 30 points in an NBA game again.
I'm confident that DD goes off for his first 40pt game as a Spur. No one on Dallas can check him. Also hoping that this will be the first blowout game. That will restore a little bit of faith on this board. But due to the lack of depth on this roster, I expect it to go down to the wire once again. But hopefully not!
