His D at the rim is actually really good. Just like Tim, he's not good in space and can get eaten alive on the PnR, but put him in a phone booth, and he's fine. Tim was the same way, but the Spurs had the guys to let Tim stay in his phone booth a lot more often, and most teams lacked the offensive players to force Tim to guard in space PHX even back in 2010 completely exposed Tim's lack of mobility, which is why Pop had to start subbing Tim out in small-ball situations.

Pau is not even a $6 million dollar man anymore. Then again the way LMA has been playing he isn't either. Where is the one legged Duncan when we need him? In all seriousness I do hope Gasol recovers and gets back to helping us and I hope that LMA can see what it takes to be a champion, i.e., heart, desire and giving 110%, 100% of the time.

A player is worth whatever he can get paid. This is true for all things. That doesn't mean he will pan out, but savvy organizations don't pay more than they think something is worth. Don't believe me, go try to get a job with the Spurs and ask for 1 million to start.
