Pop's benching of Bertans in the playoffs should tell you all you need to know how he feels about him.
What teams did you have in mind for a trade? I like Bertans but I do think that with a potiential roster crunch, rotation depth and both sides seemingly not as high on each other as they could be, might make it more likely that he could be moved.
I had Atlanta in mind for 35; Spurs and ATL agree to the terms then complete it after the league year turns over.
Spurs get a decent pick, save $7 million, and clear out another roster spot. Bertans makes sense with Atlanta because of his shooting and short term deal that doesn't hamper them if it doesn't work out.

He's the safe pick at 29 to me. Would immediately come in and get bench minutes. Question is how good can he be defensively?
I agree wholeheartedly with this assessment and if I’m not mistaken I believe I stated as such in this thread or another one about this player. If he can prove to be a solid defender and shoot like he did in school, he would be a great role player.
I think Bertans makes sense for plenty of teams. He’s young enough for a rebuilding team, but has gotten enough minutes for a team trying to make the playoffs and in need of shooting.
ATL for one makes sense. Yes, they have Huerter, but VC could be gone, he’s better than Justin Anderson etc..
Bertans sucks, he doesn't have trade value...
I can see Bert to Minni for 11. Those guys desperately need outside shooting and preferably a stretch big.
Bert should easily get you a guy in the 20 to 30 first range teams that desperately need 3 point shooters: Boston, Philly, Atlanta, Utah, Bucks, etc.
He's a safe pick at #29. Not a lot of athleticism, but anyone team should be happy with a serviceable high first round pick.
The only way that I'd feel alright drafting him is if Bertans is traded and he falls to #29. I don't think that he falls that far, though.
Don't think that the Spurs necessarily need to target a pure shooter, but I'd rather have Windler at #29 than Cam Johnson at #19.
This guy is my preference at 19. In today's NBA, nothing matters more than the outside shot and he has the best in the draft.
