    One aspect of the plan was, in the middle of a rebuild, to finish with a better record than OKC, who has two MVP candidates in their primes.

    If the Spurs don't trade anyone this would be a good roster

    Murray/ Forbes/ Mills
    White/ Walker/ Belinelli
    Derozan/ Keldon Johnson/MLE contract
    Gay/ Bertans/ Metu
    Aldridge/ Poeltl/ Kabengele or Claxton

    Best starting lineup would probably be lol Derozan

    the spurs plan is to be the best they can be.

    spurs can win a round, maybe even two... won't be contenders for a long time, obviously, though.

    tbh, hopefully kawhi's success will light a fire under pop's ass..

    a) decide who to sign with the MLE aka 1 good (ex. MKG, Aminu, Milutinov) or 1/2 young and developing players with lottery talent (ex. S. Johnson, Hezonija, Bender);
    b) re-sign Gay;
    c) once they cleared their mind about who could be obtainable in free agency, draft the (actually) three best prospects available (preferably a sf, a pf and a big)
