It’s overrated in the sense that it leads casuals to believe he was the leader of the Spurs that year and led them to a championship. That is not even close to being true.

Exactly. It's like if Kwa was not going to be the MVP, then who was?
Ok we're all cool with Duncan being chosen, but even then, Duncs was not clear cut.
Someone was going to be chosen off The Beautiful Game Spurs. It was Kwa. As good a choice as any.

I'm big on momentum plays. Not that one play makes or breaks a game, but one play often feeds into many more plays and even an entire game / series at ude. GNob has had 6 million of these. Robert Horry Spurs had many. Duncs cannot even be counted.
Kwa had some kick ass momentum plays in 2014 Finals.
