Murray was out that game. Jeff Heath, it was his coming out party (not in a good way) ironically in his home city, and was playing both safety and corner that game because of injuries in the secondary (Claiborne, etc) and Carr was just atrocious as well.

But Murray was just fine for the Green Bay debacle where we lost to a 4-touchdown comeback by the great Aaron Ro--- whoops, I meant Matt Flynn.

Houston Texans just claimed star cornerback Vernon Hargreaves off waivers. That definitely makes their secondary much better, he is a true #1 shutdown CB with early 1st round pedigree, 11th overall pick in 2016.

Much like Conley he's more of a man corner and not a zone corner which is why he has struggled. There's also been rumors related to effort. It would be nice if he worked out and wound up replacing Joseph eventually. Right now he will have to prove himself. Roby, Joseph and Conley are all ahead of him.

I doubt that he will play on a few days notice, but he'll have his chances over the next few weeks and the playoffs. He's locked up for next season too and Houston has cap space. Like I said, zero risk.

he's got all the physical talent he would need. would flash all the time, too. but never put it together, blown assignments, etc. i think the raiders prematurely gave up on him, but so far Trayvon Mullen (2nd round rookie) has come in and performed better in that same spot.

I feel like too many of those smaller athletic guys just go to waste in a zone scheme when their agility, bend and speed would scream man to man. If you want to shutdown with a zone scheme you need the bigger Seattle style corners that eat up so much space that they can clog up most of the holes with their size and threat of a big hit if the receivers dare try to catch one in the hole of the zone.

I also feel like Jonathan Joseph has been around since I was in middle school. And I'm almost 26
