I hate the fact that someone has to bring politics into a basketball forum. I had no problem when the Spurs' 1st championship team was honored by President Clinton at the White House and I certainly have no problem with President Bush honoring the last two. If you have to see the world through the lens of politics just go ahead and put a bullet through your dome. That is all.

The Repubs ignore and disrespect other countries and international orgs. Disrepect causes a lot of deep, negative emotions, at the country level, or personal level. Disagree is ok, but within a framework of respect and civility. "The Ugly American" is a VERY OLD story.
Even most Americans think the Repub Iraq war is bull , and that the Repubs lied about the reasons for it, so how do you think the rest of the world feels about the Repub Iraq invasions, war, occupation? It was the same world-wide with the VN war.
