It's different if you come from there, have spent years going to games, have gotten to meet some of them. Not unlike the Spurs I've known for years.
The Team stinks out loud why would any of the shwoogies come out and pay to see them?

1) We have no NFL team.
2) Teams with winning traditions generally don't struggle financially and move.
3) Saints are better than any expansion team, which would be the only other way to get a team.
32,000 was the official "Paid Attendence". The actual gate count has to be somewhere in the low 20s.
Yes. I don't see Loose Cannon anywhere around here so far.
I invite him, but he'll just post about how he predicted it....
Its just awfull, both the New Orleans Saints franchise and the way the NFL has handled their situation this year is a complete joke.
it's not the saints franchise. they all want to be in san antonio. it's the nfl paul t. that is making the nfl look stupid. i said it since day one that the saints can't make money in baton rouge. they should have played all home games in san antonio. benson is probably mad as because he could be making money in san antonio.
even the saints players don't want to be in baton rouge. they rather play and live in san antonio.
As much as I believe that the Saints belong to the city of New Orleans, les habitants de Louisiana need to get their asses over to Red Stick because 32,000 fans isn't impressing anyone, including Tagliabue and the "Saints Commission" owners group. C'mon guys, BR to NO is what, about as far as SA to Austin?
The SCLSU Mud Dogs had more people watching them than at the Saints game this weekend. Louisiana has about a month to figure out how to get attendance up at Tiger Stadium, which is a ty task because the Saints might be 2-9 by then.
I'm beginning to think that the state blew its chance Sunday at keeping the team when they couldn't sell half the stadium for an above-.500 Bears squad and SA will pull out all the stops to sell out for the 6-9 Lions and the 4-11 Saints on Christmas Eve of all ing days.
When the owner tells you "you're a bunch of red-neck thugs" (and it's clear that the red-neck thug is the one doing the telling) then it's pretty certain that the fans ARE NOT going to put themselves out to pour money into his pocket.
I see your point, but the choices here are cruel yet simple. Either show up and make Benson force his hand, or stay away and do exactly what he's hoping fans there will do.
The NFL's latest spin is that Benson hasn't marketed the Saints properly in the rest of the state. Benson may be an ass but it looks like he's going to get his way.
That was pathetic. SA would have done so much better at supporting them. Paul Tagliabue is such a dumbass.
Anyone know how many seats are left for the Lions game at the Dome?
Don't use quotes if it isn't a quote, and it isn't. He never called anyone a redneck thug. If you have an inferiority complex that makes you feel like one, that's your problem.
