teenagers nowadays actually well before they're 18, watching porn starts way earlier, especially since the internet made it widely available.

You have to be some sort of dinosaur or incel not to know these things.
I'm not debating what age people start having sex, philonono.

No she doesn't. She said she would, not that she did. See how that's a lie? You're jumping to conclusions, per par.

And yeah, having that talk with your kids, and explaining that they're watching a performance and not real life is good parenting.
She's not using the would as in I would but. She's using would as in I have or I did.

    Good try, dude.

Wentworth, who has two daughters with the Good Morning America anchor, claimed, “You can’t stop them, so I would watch it with them. I would look at the porn with them that one time, like, ‘They’re performing.’” Oh that’s wonderful. Though Wentworth, a comedian, explained that this was a way in which she could provide context about the practice to her kids. You see, watching it with her kids would allow her to explain how it’s exploitative of the actors in pornographic productions.

Well, you might as well should, since she specifically was talking about sex ed, and she has two teenage kids.

She's not using the would as in I would but. She's using would as in I have or I did.

lol yes she is, and she's using it twice:

You can’t stop them, so I would watch it with them. I would look at the porn with them that one time, like, ‘They’re performing.’”

Otherwise she would've said that she DID watch with his kids and she explained it was a performance.

Yea, she used it twice in the same manner as I did and then explained how the application worked.

People subs ute would for did all the time in speech like this. You're totally ing trolling.

"You can't stop them so I would watch it with them."

That's exactly how any of us would've said it.

"You can't stop them so I did watch it with them." - No. That's not the arc of conversational methodology.

Geez, you're such a ing sperm shielder.

    lmao @ "conversational methodology"

Unless you're a re you would say "You can't stop them so I watched it with them, one time, and explained it was a performance".

Which, BTW, is absolutely good parenting. So I don't even know why you have to lie about it.

It's how people talk about things that have transpired.

You can go to any do entary and find people saying we would do this and we would do that.

We would play baseball from sun up to sundown.

It wouldn't usually be a 'did' in that sentence.

    You're willfully ignoring conversational norms.

    It's what you do.

It's possibly a dog whistle for other things.

And I don't think you'd find most parents agreeing with your assessment that watching porn with kids is good, tbh.

No, it's not a dog whistle for other things, especially since she was careful to point out 'one time' and explaining why, unless you're a pedo creep.

Also, you don't speak for 'most' parents. Heck, I don't think anybody in here is following neither you gut feelings or taking parenting advice from you. I don't know if you noticed yet, but people call you a weirdo all the time.

And second, who cares what other parents think? It's their kids, they should educate them how they see fit.

Hard to decipher if "that one time" is a conversational tool or if it's really 'just once'. The way she uses it is somewhat awkward, tbh.

But whether it's once or regularly has not really been at issue.

And sure the potential for dog whistling is absolutely there. There's a certain portion of the population and a large prevalence among the elites to promote the sexualization of minors.

The question is whether it's appropriate or not to watch porn with children. You seem to be in support of it.

Clutching your pearls about me not speaking for most parents.

I didn't say I speak for them. I relayed my contention that I believe most parents would not be for this. It's a really safe bet, tbh. I wouldn't have a problem putting big money on it.

It's a barometer. We make all kinds of societal constructs based on what "parents think". If we didn't, the age of consent would certainly be much lower.

I don't think it's appropriate to do so all the time, that's creepy weird. I do think it's valid, if a parent chooses to do so, to have one session where they go over it, watch and talk about it.

It's not complicated, these conversation happen anyways when a parent catches their children watching porn, or when some movie goes into an explicit sex scene, and you get det awkward moment.

Just like parents used to take their male kids to a house to get 'initiated' back in the day.

I support sex education. I think porn sends the wrong message when it comes to education, and I think it's important that kids understand that's not what real sex looks like.

I think your opinion is wrong, at least when it comes to "one time" for sex-ed. As a matter of fact, I think that happens a lot, even inadvertently, when a parent and a teenage son/daughter are watching a movie with explicit content.

And I'm not appealing to anything, I'm pointing out the fact that as much as you want to make this about me, and what 'I' think or what 'I' support, it's actually you standing alone in that hill.
