I would argue that Obama was fairly centrist. Overall, in addition to being about as likable as a carbuncle, she is hard left.

She looks like a centrist Democrat to me and as Cali AG she was too establishmentarian for the Bay Area. They didn't think she was hard left. Few people anywhere describe her that way, why does it seem that way to you?

Sure, as AG I think she was clearly more establishment.
But take a gander at her voting record. She isn't exactly Joe Manchin, she votes with the democrat's 99% of the time. She's for single payer, for banning fracking, likely wants to put AOC as the secretary of energy, etc.
BTW, she gets slammed on here for her record as AG on drug convictions, but even her position on that has changed as she introduced legislation to decriminalize weed. Not saying that's bad, I actually agree with it, I'm just saying she has moved further to the left.

Decriminalizing weed would be terrible for the Democratic Party. They wouldn't have anything left that's a largely bipartistan public wish to campaign on. Basically the same thing the other way around if the GOP gave up on the abortion debate for good... Most Republicans/Trumpers I know smoke lots and lots of weed.
