It wasn't me.... I was all in on Woodard..
I am on the Nate Train. Lol. But I agree with you Dejounte in regards to Reynolds it is a good signing/tryout he is not super athletic our bouncy but he is real smooth and he definitely can put some points on the board something we are severely lacking. I watched most of the games at it was plainly clear that Luka, Reynolds, and Woodard, where on another level then the other players.

He will I think battle it with Diop which is a good thing we need more compe ion for certain positions he does give you kinda instant offense which we have clearly been lacking.

And for the record I am still on the Nate Renfo bandwagon I never thought he would make the team this year I just want him to hopefully get a 2 way. Yeah that going to be tough as far as his defensive score is an 8 but his offensive other then his assist is a 3. But he is coming off a serious injury so I still have faith. Plus the kid just has that Spurs character that I admire.

It sucks because Diop showed us that he's pretty good when the games counted. I really want to keep him on board past this season, if possible.

Nice reward for someone who competed hard and bought into the Austin system. Kinda sounds like the Spurs we are familiar with not the Geico sponsored ones.

From a recent interview post G league:

Reynolds signed a non-guaranteed Exhibit-10 deal with the Spurs ahead of the 2020-21 NBA regular-season.
Now with the G League season over, he is uncertain if he'll next be wearing a San Antonio uniform.
"I'm just playing it by ear right now," Reynolds said. "I would love to but we're just playing it by ear right now. We will see."

NBA teams may have no more than six players with Exhibit 10 attachments in their contracts on their roster at any given time and these contracts may not be extended or renegotiated.

I have a friend who was jokingly complaining about his neighbors, who he said did odd things with their yard and house, things that just made him shake his head. The latest thing they'd done was paint their house. Here's how he explained it: Imagine if you could break down the color beige into ten different shades. Well, they just spent the last three days repainting their Beige #4 house, and now it's a Beige #7 house.

That's kinda what this trade deadline and post deadline action has been like for the Spurs.

I like him as an oversized point guard or facilitator off the bench

Rudy doesnt pass once he gets the ball- Patty is much the same sometimes. Tre probably isn’t ready for extended minutes and Lonnie is hurt. Doubt he gets enough burn to stick past 3 or so games but he is a nice scorer who just played solid all around basketball for Austin.

Not sure where you’re getting that. Renfro, with no consistent jumper, is a better distributor. Yes, I did watch every telecast game from the Gubble. His best NBA skill is catch and shoot 3s.

Nah he was signed and waived for specially to play at Austin. I actually like this guy. I think 6’7 with 7’2 wingspan? And his stroke is sweet. Pretty smooth offensive scorer. Reminds me of Willie Anderson but shorter.
Willie Anderson. Man that's when I fell in love with the Spurs. They sucked but as a teen and learning to hoop and be compe ive... I was a big fan of his.

Was Willie Anderson legit? I was too young at the time to remember. What happened with him? I recall he had pretty decent talent.

For a moment, I was thinking Cam Reddish, a real NBA player instead of more G-League fodder. Silly me. Hawks aren't that stupid. Oh well, beggars can't be choosers.

Capable ball handler, was tasked with initiating offense with Austin in Luka and Tre’s absence.

assist numbers weren’t there but he can break down a defense and threaten the basket from all 3 levels. He at least showed an ability to move the ball somewhat. It’s a low bar to clear when you have Rudy gay as your comparison.

So, he can handle the ball some, but didn’t even generate assists in the gleague, and you see him as an NBA creator? Mmmmkay.

Here’s what’s really going to happen. IF HE GETS ON THE FLOOR, he will be parked somewhere on the arc, and told to shoot when open.

I don’t think he’s going to do aside from sit on the bench or play garbage time to be perfectly honest

I watched him just like you. He can dribble the ball and initiate offense. That’s all I’m looking at here. Don’t read too much into it.

Bruh what you're describing is a Bryn Forbes. Cam can actually dribble inside the arc and pull up for a shot. I disagree with Prime about him being a facilitator though...dude has no vision.

Sounds good. I thought we were going to wallow in misery, but that's a good alternative.

Has anyone in this thread seemed excited to you? Not what I’ve seen. We are discussing it, though. That’s what forums are for.
