Alls I'm saying is, the season is too long to get excited by one blowout. Pacers are definitely a top 3 team in the East. They'll be right there contending for a chance to get beaten by the Spurs in the Finals.

Fluke game, Foster was out, TInsley limited etc., Pacers still havnt played together much, remember Jackson, O'Neal, and Artest didnmt play a single game together before this year, Im not worried about it.

It is definitely disheartening to lose to a soph. franchise, that was missing 2 starters and there 6th or 7th of the bench, J. Jones.

Y'all, this is that same stupid logic that we hear from mouse. He tried to argue that because the Mavs beat us by 30 points, we are not going to make the playoffs. Exhibit b is our loss to the Wizards.

Of course, we could attempt to argue that the Mavs are better than the Bobcats, so our loss is not as significant. We could further argue that the Pacers history while good is not as good as ours.

We didn't exactly slaughter the Bobcats ourselves. They are a better team than people realize. Therefore, teams like the Pacers and SA can underestimate them.

I expect Indiana to be one of the top two teams coming out of the East.

Indiana lost to Boston by a ton of points last year in the playoffs. However, they won the series. The same thing happened with them against the Pistons and they almost beat the Pistons last year, despite their injuries.

This team put up an impressive record last year, despite the 25 game suspensions of Jermaine and Stephen Jackson, the year long suspension of Artest and the injury of Jermaine. Also, Tinsley was injured last year.

This is that same team, only at full strength with their back up players having gained more experience.

Indiana is a solid defensive team. They have been consistently over the last couple of years and not enough games have been played to justify concluding that their defense this year is significantly worse than last year.
Artest is clearly one of the top three or four defensive players in the league.

Indiana also can score on the block through Jermaine O Neal, the ambidextrous one.

This same team put up the best record in the league the year before last.

While, in my view, Pistons, Pacers, Heat, Washington is the way I would rank the teams in the East, the Pacers are a really good team.

One or even several really bad losses early on in the season are the exceptions to the rule which over the long season will prevail.

These are all points that the Artest Factor could make and I would agree with.

I don't like the Artest Factor, I'm not crazy about the team, but I can't alter the truth.
