Get a clue. They're not the greatest defense in the country. But they certainly dont' "suck" either. Plus Fresno St has a damn good QB.
SC's defense does what it has to do - make enough stops for its offense to do the job.
Sorry, the sip defense hasn't faced any trifecta of players like Linehart, Bush, and White.

I don't see how anyone can truly expect to slow down the USC offense for an entire game. They have too many ways to attack a defense. I mean, defensively, you have to account for Reggie Bush on every play. If you gang up to stop runs and short passes out of the backfield, they have other guys who can beat you. But even if you find some success, all SC has to do is put Bush in the slot and put White in the backfield. It's a pick your poison situation. If you maintain the effort against the run, you can't easily defend Bush in the slot and they'll use Bush in that way. If you pay too much attention to Bush in the slot, White is good enough to rip what's left of the defense. And that doesn't even begin to account for Leinart and their WR's. I still don't think there's a collegiate defense that has a chance to stop them for more than a quarter or so.

i'm not a UT fan but with this defensive performance the Trojans need to fall to Number 2, probably lower if they lose.
