I get peanuts on nearly every Southwest flight.

Yeah, after the last two weeks of travelling I am completely sick of peanuts.

The worst thing about Southwest (and the other cheapo airlines) is when you order a soda and they won't give you the whole can!

I think that mostly has to do with time. Most Southwest flights are so short, they don't have time to complete the drink service, much less wait for someone to drink a whole soda with ice and come back to pick up the trash. I was stuck on a SW flight waiting on the runway for almost 2 hours due to weather. They gave everyone who wanted one a whole soda. Several other airlines only give you part of a soda on short flights, too.

The girl was 15, and the kid was probably the same age. I don't think he necesarily had to know. Relationships at that age aren't lasting, perhaps they'd been together for just a short period of time. My point is everyone is so either to blame the guy, "why didn't he know?", "he probably did know", "he wasn't thinking!". Why couldn't he just not know because she never told him huh? lol Either way, its a freak accident.

Well here's my thing, if the bf was around her enough, if she is deathly allergic, he would have known it. Especially if he's been around her parents at all, parents are always concerned about that and they'll make sure everybody knows...

Exactly! Those "peanut people", that's one of the first things they tell you, is about their terrible medical condition...their ALLERGY. At least that's the case in my experience...I only know one person well who has this condition, and I knew that about her before I knew her last name...as I recall, she told the whole office within the first 5 minutes. I am acquainted with a couple of other people who have peanut allergies, and as I recall, they made sure to tell about it right away, too.
