Obviously DJ wanted Levine to come, but he already knew he was staying in Chicago. Classy exit before things get all drama about re-signing.
Referred to himself in the third person multiple times. That was odd to me. GL DJ, we truly want to see you win!

If you ever watch his post game interviews he actually refers to himself in the third person a lot![]()
He will help turn Georgia red again
Anyone who thinks this wasn’t initiated by DJM is just naive or stupid.
Been saying he wanted to win. No toxic personality but what he wanted wasn’t where the Spurs were headed. I said this many times. Surprised Hawks ponied up the haul it took to get him but he looks so happy. I wish him the very best.
Yap and they will spin it was all about winning.![]()
haha lets he real we all know that is how Coach Pop thinking of himself in his head. I’m sure after a few bottles of 5k wine he does the same thing.
Well I give him credit he kept it low key which allowed us to get draft picks.
If they make it as the EC Finalist hope they rep more then the pussy Celtics.
The third person view may come from watching himself so much on game films, and trying to be objective about what he sees.
I also wish him well.
Dejounte on the Spurs
”I’m sorry for not being the right leader for our team. I had a rough childhood growing up and although some people don’t hold that against me, it led to some cryptic instagram posts. None of my teammates ever had a problem with me or voices that they ever had a problem with me, but in retrospect, I can see how toxic as I was being when I made those 10 posts throughout my whole career in San Antonio. I love the Spurs, they are a classy organization who did right by me and wanted me to be in a position to succeed. But in the end, I just wasn’t a cultural fit with the Spurs”
DJ on goals he has for the Hawks
”Obviously I want to compete for a championship. I want to continue to grind and get better and work on my craft. I think we have the making of something special here in Atlanta. I actually just got done speaking to coach and I said the thing I really want to work on is being photographed together with my new teammates. I know there’s a bunch a fake people out there with agendas saying that I’m not photographed enough with teammates. I’m a public figure so I know people are always watching me or naming themselves after me on message boards, so I’m going to make it a goal of mine to have at least 10 photos a day with each individual teammate.”
he should make sure the angles are straight so those people can compare the height
Young's growth plates haven't closed yet. He looks 6'6"
