But is it really? I've seen rednecks, inner city folk, and cultural elites do that and I've seen people from each of those categories fight like against family members that are abusers like that. Your generalization doesn't seem accurate in my experience.

It's nothing specific to the South--it's simple game theory. The broader potential damage that would be done to the family and tribe outweighs the damage already done to the victims. Exposing the crime only protects future victims.

In fact, a person with such history of abuse can sometimes be turned into a controlled asset. The leverage over a person with that history is absolute. It's often a prerequisite to have such history to be granted a clear path to run for political office.

Most folks aren't aware we have a pederast in the White House right now due to the tribalism of the press working to protect just such a controlled asset.
