Trump attacked the union leader, who accepts bribes from the Soros/Rothschild globalist BigDonor establishment.... not the workers. And he's right. The concept of private sector unionization is good, but not when the leadership of said unions are corrupt and partisan.

Trump still has the opportunity to show the workers that he cares about putting their interests and jobs first and that he's an authentic populist and not just another establishment GOP "capitalism uber alles" elitist.

lest not forget Trump endorsed and voted for Obama in 2008, though admittedly between him, Hillary, and McCain, there were no good options that year and it was a recession year.

Lol he attacked union leaders because they don't back him.

He's telling union workers they won't have jobs if this continues.

LOL Trump telling the union workers to just bend over and accept the status quo is sure to win him Michigan.

He couldn't win MI., if froze over. And if he did manage it there'd be a line to assassinate him for it.

Seriously? MI is as populist of a state as it gets, and Trump beat Hillary in MI outright in 2016 even with a minimal third-party vote share. It's libertarian-populist. Common sense capitalism, pro private sector union, socially moderate but right of center, especially on gun and freedom/authoritarian issues, and school choice is the majority opinion of Michiganders which the Dems have fought to block for years.

2022 abortion rights in a libertarian state was effectively the top of the ticket and 2018 marijuana in a libertarian state effectively served as the top of the ticket. Those artificial blue wave years in MI don't make MI anything close to a purple state. Even partisan Dem podcasters like Let's Talk Elections who is very biased and optimistic for the left/Dems, admits Michigan is pure purple and either side can win both the presidential and senate race next year in MI. Coin flip, and will come down to campaigning and in the case of the senate candidate, candidate quality especially on the GOP side. It's an open senate seat, Slotkin is a generic Whitmer style Democrat, not a terrible candidate but isn't exactly a juggernaut. She's beatable, and if the Dems nominate someone like Hill Harper (not very likely, but possible) then they will lose big.

Another big factor that played into the 2022 blue wave in Michigan was the low turnout on the GOP side (Dems turned out their base very well, a lot of the GOP and MAGA base stayed home). This was caused by multiple factors, starting with the disqualification of James Craig for Governor, which was the base's pick. Sure he might have lost to Whitmer, but it would be close to Kari Lake's margin. Tudor Dixon was great on a lot of issues but seen as a replacement candidate, cringe extremist on abortion and also her campaign was financed by Betsy DeVos, who a lot of conservative Michiganders consider to be a RINO.

If the Dems in any swing state ever put something like gun control or defunding the police on the ballot, they'd be committing political suicide up and down stream... so that's why they only use legislation for that and use democracy for issues which they are the majority opinion in a state or nationwide like common sense abortion legality and cannabis legalization.

He attacked union leaders because they're rich elitists, paid off by big marxist-globalist donors, that take advantage of and every penny possible from their members (i.e., the workers).

    Your second sentence is canon.

Damn, you're right, Andrew. I was wrong on MI., in '16. I'd forgotten he'd taken that then.

he absolutely does not give two s about the union workers. He absolutely cares that the union leaders tell their union to vote Democrat. That's it. Anything else is you just make believing because he's your guy.

Not untrue, but the underneath truth is they're telling them that because the leftist big donors are blackmailing them to; it's part of their long-established agreement. It's been the standard since, at least, Dukakis 1988, and probably before that.

However the statement that Trump doesn't care about the hard-ass working blue collar, predominately white and male union worker base is absurd and 100% false. That's a large chunk of his base, especially among Gen X.
