Rockets Harden averaged around 37 minutes per game and 76.6 games played over 8 regular seasons. His lowest total minutes played in a season with Houston was 2,483, which is higher than the most minutes Manu ever played in a regular season (2,423). Harden's regular season efficiency stats on offense are also better than Manu's, more than enough to make up the difference between them on defense.

I think Manu would have been better for the team in the playoffs, but I think he wouldn't have been as effective in getting them there and would have had a very hard time holding up as a high usage, high minutes #1 option through a long playoff run after a long regular season.

That's certainly true. I was thinking about someone who'd be willing to take a lesser role, but with all-star talent. Most of the guys who form the super-teams are always clamoring for the limelight. But, yeah, Jokic is awesome.

I don't think Manu would have provided more impressive raw stats than Harden. Not many players would put 37 and 10. I do think Manu would have made the Rockets a better team overall. If only for the fact he wouldn't have hogged the ball as much.

Manu was always the X factor for the spurs. When he was on and playing at peak Manu, we were basically unbeatable. He was so fun to watch, a basketball savant, incredible teammate, tough as nails, unselfish, and a solid defender. Unquestionably top 75 and the fact that he was left off is gross.

The video le is still ridiculous though. The guy who made this video loves advanced stats without context. He’s also a huge KG fan who ranked KG’s peak higher than Timmy’s so I think there’s some agenda here

The le was there just for click bait. At the end of the video the commentator says "MANU WAS THE SPURS... other superstar", admitting he wasn't the Spurs MVP, but that he was way more important than people think he was.
