Would be very happy with Furby, Flip, or TySmith. If any are on the board at 35 and we punt again... this site will be fun.
kolek,Hes a better pg then jones and would be the best passer on this team.Chomche,A project big in what these second rounds are suppose to be for.

My guess:
Toronto fanbase wants to move back or get Filipowski or Tyler Smith, some talk of Kolek. They have and Walter and Furphy is extraneous.
Utah fanbase is calling out Furphy
Milwaukee fanbase isn't unified, more Smith or Filipowski but mostly arguing about their first round pick
Portland fanbase mostly wants Furphy but scattered
So for a Furphy sweepstakes, the Spurs would need to entice Toronto, I'd say. No way Ainge lets a white boy shooter pass him in the Mormon desert.
Doubt the Spurs want him, anyway. No idea what they want.
trade 35 for a 2045 2nd round swap and rights to a 2050 2-way
I'd say Portland and Utah both have decent odds of trading out. Utah already added 3 rookies, and Portland doesn't have roster space.
Furphy would absolutely soak in Utah lol
SRPs have no impact on roster space. You can literally just bring them into camp and tell them to off if they don't beat out the 17th best player.
Unless you sign them to guaranteed deals (which high SRPs typically get - and the new CBA favors). The new SRP exception will probably lead to some interest from teams with expensive rosters to move up.
yeah so? there's no literal commitment you have to make. they don't take up a roster spot. they don't automatically eat your cap. you can just have an extended evaluation period and tell them to off to Xinjiang with no cost
You realize you have to sign these guys before they come to camp, right? Drafting a guy isn't an extended tryout period where they show up and hope you give them money later.
Last year's top 10 SRPs all got guaranteed money, except for James Nnaji (Hornets) who stayed overseas. That guaranteed money counts against the cap.
Draft Djurisic and if we squint our eyes hard he might pass for Topić.
Draft Ajinca and if we squint our eyes really hard he might pass for Tidjane. Actually, I’ve heard some scouts say they think he’s better than Salaun so maybe we should just draft this guy as Wemby’s French little buddy Gilligian.
I didn't want either of those guys, what kind of squinting do I have to do to see someone else?![]()
You can’t tell me there isn’t at least a somewhat decent chance that someone available at 35 can be of more use to this team than guys like Branham/Wesley/etc. If we trade out of 35 for more future SRPs then this FO regime is a joke.
I will say, if the Spurs punt on 35 then I'll be pissed...
There might be... but let me talk to you about 2037 SRPs...
“Have to give ourselves a runway - we’re in this for the long haul”![]()
I have a sinking feeling Pop is going to waste 35 on Bronny
and with the 2079 NBA Draft #1 pick The Saturn Moonbase Endeavor 1 Spurs select Cyborg Wembanyama Jr.
there are several players in this draft that could be better on our current roster.Bigs like smith, flipowski, bona could be better then barlow and bassey.
Guys at wings like furphy and djurisc who can take champs spot.Guards like kolek,aj mitc ,christie, nunez. There is some decent options for us at 35.
I wanted them to trade 35, 48 and a future second or two for PHX’s 28 and draft T. Smith, who’s probably a better player than Salaun right now, but they likely don’t want another rookie contract on the books so I’d expect them to trade 35.
At 48 someone who agrees to do a 2-way and play in Austin.
For pennies on the dollar to compete for a roster spot. And you can tell them to off if you don't guarantee them.
