Uncle Dennis got his wish. Kawhi is being paid millions of dollars to live in L.A. and sit out games while being treated like a celebrity, and he hasn't done anything meaningful since he has been there.

Beside 2025 draft pick, LAC still owes OKC other years draft pick and OKC will have more and more lottery picks from LAC. LAC has no draft picks that belong to them until 2030
He asked for the same contract as Kawhi when Kawhi got extended but he said the Clippers were low balling him something crazy so that made him mad.
Then he said eventually they did offer him the same deal as Kawhi but he felt like they would end up trading him so he asked for a no trade clause and they said no.
By the time that happened he already knew Philly was going to offer him a full 4 year max so he just decided to leave.

I don’t think people realize just how much Harden has fallen off. That guy isn’t leading a team anywhere but the lottery. The Clippers have some decent role players, so they might squeak into the play-in, but it’s going to be very bleak in clippers land for years to come because Balmer seems to be almost as stupid as the guy who bought the team from
He made that mistake once. When NBA players want to play for the Clippers and don't consider them the assisted living arrangement of the NBA soon to retire, it could change there. Maybe under Balmer, maybe not.
Gotta disagree, I hope he still continues playing just enough to give them false hope come playoff time and then he has to sit again. Need to keep the Clippers from getting an injury exception and to keep the Thunder from getting a high pick to land a guy like Cooper Flagg, Ace Bailey, Dylan Harper, AJ Dybantsa, Cam Boozer, etc since they own the Clippers drafts for years.
Clippers roster is so bad they will be in the lottery without Kawhi. All they left with are washed up Harden, Zubac and Powell.

Without nephew, it would take prime Harden to get them into the play-in. Like this, they could easily end below Spurs if he's not back soon.

For sure. He's got a player option for next season and is reportedly in the best shape of his life. This would be the classic time for him to come out guns blazing, drag them to the playoffs, get a terrible overpay from Ballmer, and then spend the twilight years of his career ballooning up and putting in overtime at the tiddy bar.
