I actually think a Democratic Party victory in 2024 hurts the Democrats' chances long term of being the party in control of the medium to long term future. If you flush out Trump's last four years of eligibility now, people will be so sick of Trump and the GOP that they won't want anything but Democrats for the next like 12+ years.

I selfishly hope she wins so (a) bitcoin will sell-off and dip hugely temporarily giving me a huge buy-the-dip opportunity, and (b) because that will keep more competent and more scary Democrat leadership out of power like the Whitmer's and Shapiro's of the world.

If she wins, Vance goes back to the senate and is clearly not a front runner at all for 2028. It's probably DeSantis, Youngkin and the field. I don't see anyone else running very high in such a 2027-28 GOP primary at all tbh.

I mean, realistically, in my particular situation, I'm looking at either continuing this booming economy that made me filthy rich, or getting a large tax cut that will exacerbate my filthy richness. Plus I live in California, so we'll be pretty insulated no matter what.

Same, well sort of lol. I'm far from filthy rich in terms of actual cash on hand unless I wanted to liquidate some of my properties, which would be stupid but either way I'm doing just fine. The problem is being a relatively principled person and being a Republican is basically impossible now. There's just a hurricane storm of stupidity and conspiracy theories on the right that I can't subscribe to in good faith. Every time I'm around my Repub/leaning friends it's always some new conspiracy that's pretty much baseless.
