I thought they changed the rules after that shot.

Also the spurs that year was terrible offensively. There’s no way they could’ve gone past the pistons. I’m not even sure rheh can beat the wolves.
Nah they would have demolished the Wolves with an injured Cassell and then Troy Hudson getting hurt too. Detroit was too deep though, I think the 04 Pistons would have taken the 04 Spurs in six.

It literally wasn't by the rules.
The rule was that with 0.4 seconds a player can just catch and shoot. He caught it, turned around and shot. Illegal by the rules back then. And was obviously late.

Btw, thank you for reminding us of this bs to start our weekend.
Ugh try losing money on the game too. Why I refuse to bet on sports anymore.

Is it the same person who took away 2 of Tim’s blocks back in game 6 2003 thereby negating his well deserved quadruple double? Or was it somebody else and the entire ing table was useless in those days

I remembered watching that game. Spurs fell behind pretty early as TP was not performing. They managed to crawl their way back with Timmy's miracle long 2 over Shaq.....D-Fish 0.4 sec shot was defended really well by Manu.

But the 2004 Pistons were really scary. Even if we beat LAL and T-wolves in the WCF, the Finals would be a uphill battle

Yup. Our offense was not great in 2004

Tim's shot had already cleared the bottom of the net with 0.7 on the clock. From my perspective, the clock should have been at 0.7 and thus Fisher's shot wouldn't have been controversial at all.

It was a gut punch of the highest order but I don't see it as illegitimate.

We also got beat handily in three other games. Even if 0.4 never happens, no guarantee we win that series, or beat Minessota or Detroit.

That shot certainly hurt, but nothing in comparison to how Ray Allen's three hurt .

DFish exploited his daughter's medical condition to get out of multiple NBA contracts so he could sign with the Lakers and OKC.

One of the best things about the '14 run is that we put this POS out to pasture. Garbage human being.
