It's not a dilemma. Fox is not a legend. Chris Paul is CP3. Making him CP68 or something would have been kinda crazy, considering his standing in NBA record books/history.
Fox is a good player, but he doesn't have that history. His career while wearing his next number will more than likely be more meaningful to the league than his career as #5. I didn't even know his number, tbh.

I thought it's unofficially retired as in they won't put it in the rafters or have a ceremony, but won't give it to anyone else.
If things go well and Fox ever has his number retired by the Spurs, all I'm ever going to see his nephew's slimy jersey hanging in the rafters tbh. Someone in the Front Office needs to veto this number selection immediately and force Keldon's worthless ass to give up #0. I almost wish KJ was traded for this reason alone tbh.
