Can anyone explain why any American taxpayer dollars should be funding DEI in foreign countries? I don’t see how this is remotely political. Who supports this? You can argue it’s not a huge amount, fine, but it shouldn’t exist at all no matter the cost!

I'm going to say that's wishful thinking on your part. I don't think many of his enemies are going to be in a position to try and rake him through the coals again, after his time in office. In fact, Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer are getting ready for their own legal battles.
Only time will tell but, I'm going to predict the attacks, (lawfare, at least) against Trump, are over. Who knows, they may try more desperate measures but, let's hope not.

I mean, if I were a betting man, I would say he will die of old age before he sees prison. So I would agree it's unlikely. Especially because our justice system doesn't work that fast, and he's an old man.
Then again, the federal cases against him were dismissed without prejudice, so as long as the statute of limitations doesn't expire, he can be on the hook.
