A Marcus Bryant appearance as well. Incredible. Next we’ll get blackjack and extra scout

So if this Big Board is accurate, and assuming the rest of the draft goes just as in the ESPN mock, the Spurs' pick at 14 would be...

    Cedric Coward.

Wright said in his post draft press conference that they actually tried to trade up for Bryant and were surprised he was there at 14 because they had him a lot higher in their own big board.

If that’s true, that would seem to support the accuracy of this big board.

they always say like that. They got lucky with a decent player slipping to them at 14 and Harper falling in their laps. They punted a possible very good player at 38. They are dumb s.

Didn't watch along live (New Zealand work days), but Carter Bryant always made a lot of sense given the depth of creation we have and the relative weaknesses in play finishing / off ball value. The upside hope is that he's enough of a defensive playmaker to be something like a Marion who creates defensive events as a 3/4, and that's an elite player, even without on ball juice. Once it looked like Essengue was going to be gone, I was in on Bryant as the best guy at 14 (and would have Bryant higher on a Spurs specific Board).

Glad that they didn't trade up, given the cost of the Pelicans move (good god!). Think the trade of the 2nd round pick makes sense given roster composition, wanting to add a MLE Vet, probably keep the future second as a complement to adding depth in peak Wemby etc years.

    Fox / Harper
    Vassell / Champagnie
    Castle / Keldon / Bryant
    Sochan/ Barnes
    Wemby / FA X?

Like most people, I'd like a C in MLE and trade Keldon / Barnes for a proper PF (or vice versa). No complaints about round 1.
