You are right, and honestly that more "mainstream" Spurs podcast is probably what they are going for anyway. I wish we had a Vecenie/Lowe/Thinking Basketball level podcast all about the Spurs - but it's not like those types of guys are all that common and that's probably not what most casual listeners of Podcasts want, so it makes sense.
I doubt other fanbases have podcasts with such polished hosts like Lowe/TB etc either though. That’s why it’s a treat when those brainy mainstream heads talk spurs.

You are correct about that. However, I do think some (probably not all) other fan bases do have some better "casual" options. When the Fox rumors started heating up, I was paying attention to some of their local media and came away impressed. Kind of amazing, actually, considering that SAC fans have no cause to feel anything other than self-loathing and despair.

If we call SSPN casual I'm ok with it. Sometimes I like something like that at least if its Spurs only and not poisened like Locked on or Spurs digest.

I'm consuming The Mismatch, Lowe, KOC, Simmons, Thinking Basketball, Game Theory and one german Podcast (Got Nexxt) and even though some of them are casual as well, there is also a lot of real analytics involved. Getting some casual Spurs stuff like SSPN and small market bias rounds out the picture quite well. Not everything as to be deep dive analytics...and even those pods are not right everytime.
