I haven't seen it yet, but I would do just about anything if my husband would watch Brokeback Mountain with me. But I know there isn't a chance in he'll watch a gay cowboy movie.

I have not seen this one, dammit!

No BJ in the world will ever warrant me watching a Harry Potter film.
S y, I LOVE lifetime movies! I mean, how can you not love a channel that shows tv movies with les such, "Mother, May I Sleep with Danger?"![]()
I can no longer watch Max X. It's the same damn clips, over and over, but in a different order.
Yes, I know the skiier is going to hit his head on a rock, only to be slowed enough by his continuous tumbling to be caught in the avalanche and yet by some miracle make it out alive. Yes I know the car will pull away as soon as the cop turns his back only to be lead on a high-speed chase, endangering as many innocent bystandars as possible. Yes I know that guy will pull the landing gear down on the plane and YES I know that firefighter is about to barely make it out alive.
Same story over and over and over and over again.
Who watches it weekly? I watch it twice and year and it's either new clips or I had forgotten the outcomes.

I refuse to watch Grease and Rocky Horror. She's pretty open to anything, though.
Did you see Hush this weekend? Another Tori Spelling great. I only caught the last part of it. Psycho, pregnant, ex-girlfriend kills everyone to get Tori's husband. Unfortunately, she didn't succeed in killing Tori.
The wife can't seem to grasp the goodness that is Red Dawn or the hidden humor in Madagascar.
But to her credit, she turned me onto Hamburger Hill and really likes Tombstone.
My ex hated "old" movies - anything created before 1983. .... that's why I divorced her.
I cannot begin to begin to count how many times my husband has watched Willie Wonka and the Choclate Factory (the original one). Not only do we have the DVD (burned, of course) but every time that stupid movie is on HBO, he has to watch it, even if there's only 5 minutes left.
I hated the book and I HATE THAT MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Quick S y, name the girl "grunge" band that took their name from one of the characters in the movie.
Veruca Salt!
They were pretty good, too.
Nina Gordon's solo release wasn't too bad.
S y, nicely played, I didn't know that moms who aren't "cool" would know that. You get 10 points.
I never read the book, any redeeming qualities?
Jekka, Nina post's follow up album was OK, but to me it lacked the Veruca Salt edge.
Murderball. I loved it. Wifey hated it. Go figure.
I know your pain! My girl is ok with watching me play Halo or Ghost Recon, but once I pop in NBA2K6, she's uninterested. Lately, she's starting to hijack the 360 to play all the online puzzle games, while now I'm left to be the spectator and to take care of the little one.
It's not so much that my wife refuses to watch certain movies... It's that she falls asleep 15 minutes in if she's not interested. She has yet to see a single Star Wars movie, which offends me deeply.
That said, she did step up to the plate and offer to watch The Godfather with me... I told her she wouldn't make it, but like the trooper she is, she made it through a solid hour before dozing off for good.
War movies.
He won't watch Pride and Prejudice. Well, he watched it once. But he will never, ever watch it again. Or musicals. Never, ever, never.
He's pretty easy going about a lot of other stuff though.
I've never watched The Usual Suspects (clearly one of his favorites).
As for TV shows - I'm a reality show (though I don't generally scrape the bottom of the barrel, ANTM and My Fair Brady excluded), but outside of Amazing Race can't get him to watch. He had me watching wrestling for awhile, but he can't get me to watch stupid shows like MXC on e (the only show I watched on e was . . . you guessed it! Joe Schmoe).
anic. Granted she hasn't really tried to get to watch it. I actually watched the last 20 minutes or so once when it was on TV, and it just holds no appeal. Evita is the other one.
I can't convince mine to watch any Will Farrell movies like Anchorman or Old School, which is kind of funny because she likes the American Pie trilogy, which I find far more sophmoric and gross.
anic? Huh? I HATE that movie. The stupid love story ruined an otherwise great movie.
Any Sci-Fi movie.
But her mother (my dearest MIL) would actually do anything to get abducted by aliensshe's the only person I know that tapes every Stargate episode.
She hates this movie and it happens to be one of my favorites. The book is damn good too.
