good point. and btw brewski, youre gay. who cares how VY acted after he lost. why should he be happy. why should he be "obligated" to hang out with someone he probably doesnt know or like and is going to have to play against for a championship in a couple of weeks. brewski, youre just plain lame.
    Lighten up Francis.

I feel bad for Vince. He was a true leader for the Horns, I felt. Bush wasn't really a leader, they had Lienart for that.
But you don't have to be a leader to win a Heisman. It's the players on the field accomplishments that justifies this award.

In terms of what he brings to a team with his skills - I don't see how he is different from Mike Vick or any other QB who could run and had passing skills (therefor, Eric Crouch does not count). In the specific way they run and throw, they are different - but in the demensions they add to the game (ability to beat you with the pass and the run), they are the same.

With that said, Vince should be considered one of the most dangerous players in college football history. Still don't think he'll make it as an NFL QB though.

We'll debate that after he has a championship under his belt

I hope he gives Matt Leinart a Massive Bukkake Attack, and costs him hundreds of thousands of dollars in lowered draft pick status

One way or another, Vince Young has 1 more college game to his career. Matt Leinart is a stinky festered pussy that got lucky not to be called for a penalty while trying to beat Notre Dame on a last second play.

That will not cut it against this Texas team. They will pressure him and knock the stinky festering pussy teeth out of his pussy ass mouth.

There are only a handful of Quarterback's in college football history that could match Vince's running ability(speed and agility). However, none of them had his size except Culpepper.

As far as throwing the ball only a couple of those quarterbacks who could match Vince's running could come close to putting up the Passing numbers Vince has this year.

Nevertheless, he still needs work as a passer but if Steve McNair (Vince's Godfather) can make it and suceed so can Vince. I can easily name 5 teams Vince could start for almost immediately.

Jets, Chicago, Buffalo, New Orleans, Detroit.

well put. but if his passing game has come along this much in just a year can you imagine next year if he just improves even a little bit.

vince young is unlike any other player in the history of football and you have to be a dumb not to see that
Why, exactly? He's a dazzling runner with OK passing skills that get augmented by an awesome receiving corps.

Is it because he's a Heisman-caliber quarterback at Texas? That is unlike anything that has happened in the history of football.

Awesome receiving corp? There's not one NFL caliber receiver in the group. Vince has been a very accurate passer (69% completion rate). It doesn't look pretty but it's usually right on the money with fantastic touch. Plus, he's clutch as . He still needs work as a passer but his performance in the Rose Bowl and in Columbus this year should be proof enough why he is a Very Special player.

where is this awesome receiving corps you speak of? he has amost 3000 yds passing and not one 1000 yd receiver. pepole should really start to etiher learn before they post or do some research. and i dont call 27 td and 7 picks and the highest pass efficiency in the nation "ok"

passing was his weakness last year
    now its his strength
sweed and pittman are Sophs this year
last off season the WRs were the reason people dissed texas, now its an excuse why
    vince is "ok"
last season he was bailed out by one of the greatest RBs in cfootball history
now he heads another great running game with a true FR and a WR at tailback

I dont think people realize how perfectly balanced the offense is
    perfectly
and that selvin is 5th in rushing TDs with 7, 5th, on the team!!!!!!!!
    texas
    is
    going
    to
    run
    the
    ball
    right
    up
    the
    middle
    against
    USC

This is something that every non-usc fan but usc supporting person fails to accept, and is a ing MEGA CHODE for not accepting.

How many ing running yards did Vince get this year compared to last????

If you watched every Texas game, you would have to be a ing RE OF THE HIGHEST DEGREE to think Vince did not run as many yards because QB's made him throw. He did not run as many yards because he did not want to.

He wanted to throw as a first option this year people!!!!

this is totally polarized opposite of last year. Last year was Run-first. Which is why you brainwashed Stephen A. Smith-esque haters had the "make vince beat them with his arm" mentality coming into this season.

Vince Young did finally become a good passer this season, regardless of his form, which is undebatebly ugly looking.

Vince Young passes first now, and still succeeds far better than 90% of the QB's in the NATION.

And guess what, mookie and i were saying half way through the season how it's got to the point where they're trying to make Vince beat them with his legs again, and that option is always there for him.

Look at his dominant running games this season. He did not come out of the lockerroom running against a defense he know he could run against. He passed and passed and when that failed he started to run.

The Vince Young running ability owns any defense in the nation, INCLUDING OHIO STATE, which is easily leagues higher than USC's defense.

He looked liked like a punk on the sidelines at Kyle when the Ags spoiled what was supposed to be a day long VY Heisman highlight reel.

He looked equally the punk at the ceremony when he lost. And I'm sorry you can't read mookie - win or lose, all the guys invited to NY have gone out and partied together for some time. On ESPN Sports Radio a couple of days after the presentation they said Vince was the only loser in the history of the ceremony not to go party with the rest of the finalists after the awards ceremony.

    Pretty weak.

VY will kill USC single handedly then do the heisman pose in front of the USC bench as he scores his 5 rushing touchdown

    THINKING OUT LOUD HERE...

Maybe because the only guy in NYC this year who did not Win one was #2 for 05... Again, just thinking (dangerous I know as I am sure you can see the smoke from San Antonio...rest assured, it is not the bonfire from here in College Station, they still haven't gotten that damn thing lit yet!)
