Just demand a trade to a different jury. Seems to be the popular thing as of late.

You could say that and hopefully get out of jury duty....I don't think that is something we all should do.
If I continue any further with this reply, this thread will end up moving into the politcal forum due to possible debate that quite possible would emerge from my views.... that is all...
That's one of the key elements that makes us a civil society. A lot can happen with a trial. If you got hurt or something bad then you NEEDED a good jury then you may appreciate the system.

I agree with you there Vash. I just didn't want to start this into a political thread. I don't think we should try to get out of jury duty UNLESS you do fall into one of those categories that may be excused from duty. I was prior military, there are men and women protecting/fighting/dying for the freedroms WE ALL have thanks to The Cons ution. And those same men and women are serving a purpose/role in protecting the freedoms that others have only recently been given. Those SOLDIERS,SAILORS,AIRMAN, MARINES, and you COASTIES( Coast Guard, you guys help out too.) protect our rights to have a jury of our peers judge our guilt or innocence. And for someone looking for any easy way to get out of jury duty because they think they have better things to do, just ticks me off. I think it is a slap in the face to our Service Men and Women, very disrespectful, very dishonourable. Just my opinion....which is another Freedom we have to be thankful for. * stepping off the soapbox now*
