see if duncan was on espn as much as james I bet he would have more votes
TD is not as flashy as LBJ. He will never be on ESPN as much as LeBron.

Okay, who's doing the voting? How can Ray Allen have more votes than Tony? And Shaq has missed almost the whole season so far, yet he has way more votes than Ben Wallace - and the Pistons have the best record in the NBA right now!

Come on Spurs Fans - time to vote early and often!!! And please vote for any center other than Shaq.

Every now and then (like after a good game)... and even though it takes longer, I write in Nesterovic...

In the East I vote for B. Wallace or Z

Looks like Duncan won't be starting this year
That's a little premature. He's barely behind Garnett. If I remember last year (or the year before) he was behind in the primarily voting as well.

But it is going to be tougher this year, considering TMac is a forward now.

Even though we know Duncan doesn't really care about this acolade... he might use it as motivation to win his 4th ring....

Has there ever been a year where a team won the championship without a single allstar? Not Detroit right?

Nope, Ben made the A-S team that year. Maybe Rip did, too.

Another year, another round of whining about "so and so doesn't deserve to be ahead of so and so"...blah, blah, blah.

For the 100 millionth time, follow the link to the official ballot and see for yourselves, right on the ballot, in BIG BOLD letters:

    CHOOSE YOUR FAVORITE NBA PLAYERS!

    http://www.nba.com/allstar2006/asb/e...ml?from=sweeps

Gee, that's funny. Nowhere on there does it say, "vote for the most deserving players. The most popular players get voted in every year so the voters are doing EXACTLY what they're supposed to do. Work on getting the rules changed if you wish, but stop the whining and bashing of voters and players(what idiot would vote for that guy...he sucks, etc). You're the ones who don't get it...it's intended to be a popularity contest and nobody from the league presents it any differently.

Ray Allen is clearly having a superior season to Parker, who also should make the team. To all the morons who voted Amare over Marion, SHAME ON YOU!

Very true. If it were based on merit alone the coaches could choose all of the players.

I think all the votes for Amare are protest votes because the western conference centers are all a joke. I've been skipping the center position just because it's ludicrous that one of those guys is going to get a spot ahead of Duncan.

Maybe they will start Duncan at Center.....

    Kobe
    Nash
    T-Mac
    KG
    Duncan

    Starting 5 right there...

Camby is more than worthy, though I agree Duncan should get the nod. It's his own fault. If he allowed people to call him a center, perhaps he'd be listed as one?!

Starters should be: Ray Allen, Kobe, Garnett, Duncan, Camby

It doesn't help matter that the All-Star game is in Houston. China + a raging Houston fanbase equals the Houston Rockets starting five = 2006 All-Star game starting five

No, Rip has never made the all-star team. Neither has Chauncey.

On that note, look at where they stand in votes this year. Chauncey is 5th among East guards and Rip is 8th. Its freaking ridiculous. They get no respect.

Tmac being a forward is what I base it on. His an KG's star ower will likely overshadow Duncan.
