26/30 -- trouble with the amendments and presidents born in texas
He'd probably still be in office.
26/30 -- trouble with the amendments and presidents born in texas
damn, we're all having trouble with the amendments.
i got a 27
i got questions 17,18, & 27 wrong
Your Score is 27
Congratz, you Pass! You should be proud.
I got 24.
Thomas Jefferson started the two term tradition by not electing to run for for President after his 2nd term. After that most Presidents only served two terms, I forgot which President I think it was Monroe who served 3 terms. Then they eventually got it into the cons ution saying a President can only serve twice.
26 I never was an over achiever.
FDR served 3.
28/30.
I missed the total number of amendments and I flaked on the first VP.
22.
guess I'm packing my bags.![]()
Nailed it!!!!!!!
30 out of 30
Tho I did have to guess on some of the stuff about amendments
Says I ought to run for President---No thanks, I have better things to do with my time and energy
And was elected 4 times
Yeah, I almost was unsure, but that's why I stated "served".
Yeah, if memory serves, he served less than a year of his 4th term
24/30
Amendments are not my strong suit.
I heard Bush was 0/30
guess he's not much for tests on the interNets
What? You have Al Franken writing your material? You know, of course, Al Franken hasn't been funny since the 90's, right?
You know Bush has been dumb for quite a while, right?
Only in liberal, left-wing, whacko, dreams.
Your Score is 26
Congratz, you Pass! You should be proud.
I missed:
total number of amendments
amendment that sets voting age to 18
number of assasinated president (this is one I should have known)
the right to create an income tax amendment
As you can see those are pretty specific and are not taught and rarely discussed outside the US (apart of the # assasinated question) - the ones I got I concider more or less general knowledge (even for foreigners). After reviewing the questions I think you should be able to score between 20 and 26 points just by paying attention during holywood action moviesand/or watching the discovery channel

Re- reading my post I realized I failed to make my point. I find it interesting how the foreigners who posted in this thread either passed or came close to it. A similar test for any other country we would all fail miserably. I think it's an indicator of how succesfully US exports it's culture/society abroad and influences other societies.
I'm not saying it's necessarily a bad thing (at least not all of it) or that it should be fought by passing laws restricting the US influence (unsuccessfully like France and to a certain extent the EU) or even worse fight it with religon and firearms (like some muslim leaders suggest), but you can't deny that it is present and very successful.
Perfect 30/30. But I admit I guessed on one or two...
27. On my first day of class my senior year of high school my government teacher gave part of the citizenship exam. I was one of the two students out of 30 of us who were qualified to be American citizens. It's a shame we couldn't have deported those who failed, as I really wouldn't have missed any of them.
