you see. now your just making stuff up.
i said lakers would prob fall in 5 games...6 tops.
i never said we needed malik and artest to beat LA bro.
now? the Pistons? That's another story.
Bowen and Artest will shut down everything outside!
you see. now your just making stuff up.

I wish...although i like barry.![]()
Well you tried to pass off Artest as good against the Pistons in the playoffs. Same difference.you see. now your just making stuff up.
I'm smokin this New ....it's called REALITY.
It's good...you should try some.
Pop is using TP to score and carry the load now so that TD and Manu will be rested in the playoffs. TP to the bucket is money. But it won't be so easy in June. We all know this. I'm not saying anything that we all haven't seen already....
I never really understood why people rag on Chris Mihm. Especially Spurs fans. Since David Robinson retired, we've had less than zero as our starting center yet Chris Mihm is ridiculed? If anyone actually thinks that Rasho Nesterovic is a better player than Chris Mihm, then they're re ed. Did you watch the game last night? Mihm took the ball at Shaq on consecutive possessions and scored. If Rasho tried to post up O'Neal in a dream, he would wake up and apologize.
Mihm>Nesterovic and Mohammed and Oberto combined. Lose the hate.
Lakers are a decent team and have the greatest player in the world and the greatest coach in the world- do you really want to play them? We'd win, but it would be no cake walk.
go ahead and quote me then.
i simply cannot remember saying artest played good against the pistons last year. but if the pistons were trying to STOP artest...doesn't that tell you something? who was on him? i didn't watch the series...POOH...i'm callin you OUT from hiding. Your the resident Pacer expert...a lil help.
But Imagine...
Manu=pg
Bruce=sg
Artest=sf
TD=pf
Nazr=c
Malik, Horry, Oberto
Barry, Van Exel, Finley,
all off the bench.
That's a le dude. Multiple les.
Detroit goes down in 6 games instead of us waiting til the 4th quarter of game 7.
RACK.
Although i'll have to side with Nazr's D until i watch a laker game and see Mihm's D.![]()
Why the interest in Malik Rose??
What value does he have? He's getting DNP-CD's playing for the goddamn Knicks for chrissakes and yet there's a bag calling for his return?! He's can't crack maybe the worst lineup in basketball. Thankfully, everyone and anyone outside of the fullsportpress sheep see Malik Rose as what he is- an undersized power forward with marginal talent and a below average basketball IQ.
Next
Like the way the Pistons were trying to stop Parker? And Parker shot 50 percent better than Artest (.298 vs. .458)? Doesn't that tell you something?but if the pistons were trying to STOP artest...doesn't that tell you something?
If, we some how can get Artest, and Detroit and San Antonio makes it to the finals again. We put Artest on Prince and Bowen on Billups. Nuff said!
I think we are all aware of Larry Brown's mindgames. Ask sean and david if they remember.
Even if he is "an underisized power forward with marginal talent and a below average basketball IQ"....he's STILL more valuable than RASHO.
pistons don't give a about parker. you still look at the numbers.
but you cannot see the big picture.
so, guess what...your right! you are right!
here i was thinking the pistons were concerned with TD and Manu.
i haven't met you yet rescueone, but your smart.
manu guards hamilton and the Trophy is locked up.
I thought winning the le last year would spell the end of the Malik Porn-Fest- guess I was wrong. I still laugh my ass reading the posts like "we would have won this game if we had Malik Rose" etc, etc....
Yeah Malik Rose and his 8 turnovers, 2 rebounds and 1-5 nights.....damn I miss him!
You have got to be kidding me. You seriously think Flip doesn't mention Parker during tape sessions?pistons don't give a about parker.
dude. i remember those nights too. i also remember nights without TD where malik had to carry the load...like vs the lakers early last year.
he almost had 20 and 20 if i'm not mistaken. maybe i am. i dunno.
but don't sit there and tell me he wouldn't help vs. the pistons...at least MORE than rasho would.
this is the man that dunked on motumbo you know.
and we could use another firecracker on the bench...detroit has 3 badass bigs. we have 1 and a half cuz naz is all D.
Your starting line up![]()
! But I don't think we would have to give up Tony to get Artest! Bringing Malik back would be a huge mistake. I would rather have Rasho than Malik just because he's a 7 footer and plays better Defense. Tony is the future and he's progressing year after year! It's onlt a matter of time before he will be considered the best point guard in the league.
We don't send that packing no matter what! Everyone else on your bench list can be had for Artest however!
IF there is a way to get Artest without giving up TD, Manu, Bruce, Nazr, TP, and Horry....i would HOPE to God that Pop is in CIA mode and gets it done.
Tony is breaking out in scoring cuz Pop took the reigns off. Tony is not doing anything now that he hasn't done since he got here. He's just doing it alot more often cuz Pop told him he could. Pop wants to rest TD and Manu and alleviate their scoring burden. A well rested TD and Manu bodes well for the grueling playoff run up ahead. Where i guarantee you, Tony's ppg average will go down substantially. Which is why, I want TP to keep racking up the assists. I value those more than points. Don't we all? He is a POINT GUARD.
Ok, let me clear something up-saying that we should get a guy because he would bring more to the table than Rasho is like saying that Marv Albert likes butter in his ass and lollipops in his mouth (you know, the whole hooker scandal). It's OBVIOUS. Jesus H. Christ- I bring more to table than Rasho and I'm five-foot eleven and 185 lbs!!!
Spurs need a big man that can rebound and defend and isn't afriad to mix it up. Our problem is we have Rasho- seven feet of brazilian-waxed snatch and Nazr Mohammed- brain of a turnip. Nazr can rebound but gets lost backing out of his driveway and Rasho is a decent defender but is less physical than the women's synchro team.
gnob is not a pg. he can run it for spells but it would take away a lot of his offensive freedom. bad idea
It will take more than only Parker's points to win games for us during the season. We have to have at least two players averaging well over 20 points per game. As long as Parkers Assist-to-turnover ratio is higher will this work. If he continually turns the ball over 5 times like he did that first game against Memphis which could have lead to up to 15 points for Memphis then he's in Pop's dog house and none of it matters. Someone other than Tony will have to step up every other game, or every member has to Average in the high teens for the Spurs to win the division in this senario while Duncan and Manu rest for the post season with less minutes played.
I agree that Paker will be shutdown in the playoffs, especially vs. Detroit. But getting Artest is not the answer. We have all the ingredients needed for a championship already. We just need a fine tuning.
Stop suggesting changes, they're silly and won't happen.
that's cool bro. i respect you guys opinion. but i didn't start this thread with suggesting changes. it's supposed to be about Spurs vs. Lakers. i just responded to CD's takes.![]()
