Mouse does know cards.
Alamo50 when you coming to SA?
I have 500 BV cards for the 100.00
I have both DRob rookie cards. Both Duncan rookies.
I have 967 DRob cards total and still counting.
I have 312 Duncan cards total and still counting.
I have 46 MJ cards, all in the 1990s though.
I have a Shaq rookie. KG rookie. AI rookie, and 2 LeBron rookies.
My most prized collection money wise, is the whole set of "blown up" cards that are 5x7s made by Fleer that has Webber at Michigan, Spree, Shaq, and others. The are pre-laminated and glossed and very, very sweet cards worth around 55 each I believe.
I'll be there at the end of the year Looter.
Nice 5x7 collection Brutalis!
I think you would get a kick out of mine D-Rob cards collection of 1,300 different cards.....and counting.

Hey did Beckett ever do a story on your cards?
make sure you tell Kori about your cards so she can get WOAI to do a story.
Do you have this card?

I havnt looked in a while but I know I have at least 1 DRob rookie of the year card as well as MJ..... I also got some Larry Bird and others, havnt looked in a while.
I got 3 large Binders full of cards.
grr u beat me.
Alamo50 is the biggest David Robinson fan in Holland and in Texas, maybe America,
They had him on the ticket radio two years ago and I saw him On TV,
i dont get why td cards have lower value then a scrub player like kome/kg/ai, thats why i stopped collecting bball cards
What would be worth more today, a Wilt card or a Russell card?
what bout the MJ card that didn't have his name?
all this card talk is making me hungry BRB!
Ok I am back
The reason TD cards are at a Stand still is they are not sure about his knee, 3 things make a card go down in price, The player has bad stats, The player gets hurt or the player gets in trouble with drugs or the law, Kobe stats are so good the law does not effects his card as much, but it has gone down a bit.i dont get why td cards have lower value then a scrub player like kome/kg/ai, thats why i stopped collecting bball cards
You can be an OJ simpson and have a bad rap and your card can still be woth money if you hold any records. Its just a matter of time before Kobe breaks 1/2 of MJ's records.
AI will hold a record or two with his high scoring, Tim Duncan on the other hand is in a class with Wilt, and Russle ,and we all know their records are untouchable, besides TD may leave the game sooner than people think. That is why Karl Malone. Webber. and Alonzo are in what we call the ho hum area. They don't get the Flashy reps like the Carters, AI's and LeBron's. TD is to fundamental.
But there is a way you can collect cards and make money , or just have something worth alot if you really do your homework.
here is the key. Get cards that are rare, and are condition sensitive. and make sure you only buy Graded cards, that way you know exactly what its worth.
If someone in this forum says they have a Kobe ex-2000 rookie? I have to wonder what shape it is in, he might say mint, but I might notice the card is 60/40 the edges are wider on one side and thinner on the other. but a graded card like a PSA 9 mint kobe ex-2000? I already know it's mint and it books 400.00 dollars. or It booked 600.00 when I was a collector back in 1997-98
Go after cards that are # Numbered. you want cards that there are only 50 or 25 of. You can have a rookie tim duncan but If I have a jersy/auto card numberd to 50? my card is a better deal. Go after cards with mistakes. wrong # on the back. a miss print,
A card that they only made a few of. Back in 1998 SP authentics came out with autographics cards. the gold ones were numbered to 25 the siver ones were numbered to 100 and the green ones were numbered to 400, well what happed was Jerry rice for some reason did not finish signing all his cards and there was less greens than the silver ones. so they was worth more.
You don't have to have the MJ rookie card to have money, you may have the rare sticker card. It was a sticker card they made way after his Rookie card. The card is condition sensitive, like many sickers? It starts to curl up with age,
sometimes a rookie card does not have collage stats on back, The Dennis rodman rookie card has two years of stats, It just happens to be the first card they made of him so its his rookie. Never take your cards to a card shop. they will bend you over. You need to find a collector who is looking for that card or player and you make a sweet trade. You find some kid in NJ who wants Kidd rookies and you get all his Manu's and Tony Parkers. Kids up north don't really like Spur players, they rather have a 40.00 dollar Reggie Miller and will give you a 75 dollar Tim Duncan, don't buy any Jerseys or balls etc that have autographs unless they are from Upper Deck.
99% of the autographs on Ebay are fakes. I found out the hard way.
here are some cards you should have in your collection.
Mint 9 Kevin Garnet Finest rookie
Mint 9 Tim Duncan Ultra Or SP
Mint 9 Kobe ex-2000
Mint 9 any Lebron james rookies
Mint 9 any Dwayne Wade rookies
make sure you go after PSA or BGS graded cards, they are the only ones really respected in the card collecting world You can have a Gem Mint 10 USA graded Tim Duncan and its not worth what a 8.5 BGS mint card is worth.
I hope some of this was helpful
That's not my card... I was just looking for a photo of one with 50/50 centering like mine. I'd be surprised if the card is anything less than 8.5 though, because it's from a factory set so the color is good and no wax/gum stains, the corners and edges are crisp, and like I said, the centering is perfect.
I have a Skybox David Robinson rookie promotional card from the National Card show when it was in Arlington or Dallas 16 years ago or so (supposedly it was the only place this card was given out). 50/50, perferct corners, etc. Do you have any idea what it would be worth right now, assuming its mint or a very good near mint?
You should send it in to be graded. If it gets a 9? it will effect the price guide.
if you don't like the grade they give you? you can always break the case and send it back in. sometimes you get someone different to grade your card,
I know a guy who got a NM 7 and sent it back in and got an 8.
Is it 1993?
what is it on top and bottom? 50/50?

Mouse left like 50 baseball cards in my car once - including the famous " " bat card. I think they are all in my closet .. or maybe I gave them back to him by now.
Does your card say Star on it?
1992-93 Star Company Limited Edition Basketball Series
In 1992-93, Star Company introduced four limited edition basketball series featuring Shaquille O'Neal, similar in format to the 90-91 series Star Limited edition basketball series. Each complete set contains 14 different 9-card NBA player sets for a total of 126 cards. A limited 14 card promo set for each series was distributed to Star dealers.
does your card look like this?

It's this card....
... except the promotional one, not the regular Skybox. It's 50/50 on the sides and the top/bottom.
My only other cards I have that are prob worth anything are a few of the 80-81 Topps Bird/Dr.J/Magic rookies. I doubt they're mint or gem mint though, since I got them out of a box of wax packs in 1988 or so.
My house was robbed back in 2000 I stop collecting then.
Hahaha... Billy Ripken, right? My favorite was the Jerry Browne error (black guy) with the picture of Bob Brower (white guy) on it, or vice-versa.![]()
