It's a crapshoot if you're a good singer. They herd you into booths with producers and you sing in front of everyone. If you're really good, you probably have a 1/100 chance of making it through to a Simon/Paula/Randy audition. Meanwhile they mislead bad singers (the ones who are actually trying, anyway) into thinking they're good so they can parade them on national TV and mock them, along with their weight, sexuality, or any other abnormalities. Yeah, I watch it too....
I know, I probably still wouldn't. American Idol is over-rated.
These are the only shows I watch. I do not care about people who can sing. I want to see the people make idiots, and often times flaming sexuals, out of themselves on national tv.
It's like seeing a wreck on a highway except the police stop you and encourage you to watch them remove the dead bodies.
It's also very addicting.
