when (if ever) we say picante it's to indicate hot sauce- store bought hot sauce, like Pace brand picante.... although mostly we'll say "pico" or just hot sauce if it;s really good hot sauce that is homemade.
Ok, but the thing was that i forgot mexicans used "picoso" instead of "picante".
I know it doesn't make sense to you.
It;s an inside joke in my family.
they have a kind of family motto that is :
