Unless there is already a deal in the works and they wanted Nazr to get used to starting again.
Don't know that it says anything about Nazr, but it sure tells me the Spurs aren't trying to move Rasho. You would NEVER bench the guy 36 hours before the trade deadline if you were trying to trade him. You would wait one more game.
Unless there is already a deal in the works and they wanted Nazr to get used to starting again.
In that case he probably wouldn't have played at all.
Correct.
Rasho actually played more than Nazr tonight.
The most interesting thing to me tonight was that Rasho probably looked the most relaxed he has looked all season. I have never seen him smile so much during warm ups. It was almost like he had been waiting for the axe to drop all season, and now that it had, he had his peace of mind and could just play ball. Now, Nazr- he looked uptight.
I agree, just stating that it was possible, though admittedly not likely. Also I didn't realize Rasho played so much. My first post was about us showcasing Nazr, or even Oberto. Just a funny feeling to know that this could have been the last game for one of our Spurs.
Not with Robert Horry hurt. We need Tim, Nazr, Rasho, and Oberto.
The only thing that really makes sense at this point is a salary dumpof Barry or Rasho, but that's an extra-dicey proposition given all the injuries this season.
True- with the injuries to Manu and NVE. I hope we stay put. We could end up needing Barry.
Do you feel that the Spurs ability to acquire free agents would take a hit if we were to trade NVE, Finley, or even Barry? My main concern is that these players came here for less money, and it would give us a black eye.
Not so concerned with a backlash from Barry though, considering that his statute of limitations to perform his job has run out.
Can't trade Nick.
Bad juju to trade Fin.
Less so for Barry since he's been here a season.
Maybe he had a nice vacation. I saw him at the airport Thursday with two of his buddies, both of them looked to be over 6'-4". They were talking in Slovenian (I think it was Slovenian) going through security. I was in line just ahead of them. A good vacation can put anyone in a good mood.
Serbian.
How do you know this?
He is Serbian born in Slovenia.
Heh, why else did you guys think he has such a funny name Radoslav![]()
radoslav is croatian, isn't it?
Tomislav, Zekoslav, Vekoslav?
Thank God his name is not Dejan. That would be too much.
I like that logic. Hope you are right.![]()
You'll just have to take my word for it.![]()
