Rosen has never been a Spurs supporter, and it makes one wonder where he was for two seasons as the Lakers sleep walked thru the regular season on the way to rings 2 and 3 of their three-peat.

i've said since early in the season that this spurs team seems to have the at ude of the latter part of the laker dynasty did

Even though I think Rosen is a complete asshole, in this case I think he makes some valid points. Especially about the offense. I sure miss the motion offense... and even the most homerific fan will concede that while fewer and further between than in years past, Parker can still have games where he never fully removes his head from his ass.

Charlie Rosen's hohum analysis of the recent Spurs-Grizzlies game was so predictable, an observation of South Texas sportsfans made upon reading his column written yesterday. Rosen chose to base his contention of lowered-quality San Antonio play by staying within the safe areas of:
poor execution, lackadaisial play, a supposed noncaring span of almost 3 periods of disinterest displayed by the Spurs and then he simply justified all his contentions by claiming that the team began to, in the 3rd, show some concern about the game by finally playing excellent defense with players Popovich personally inserted into the game.

Is this the mark of a professional sportswriter allowed to publicly scatter his disorganized but well-intentioned ramblings about the premier teams in the NBA?

Or is this the TRUE NATURE of a VETERAN sports columnistist that is merely coasting at this point, relying on that old and tired and worn journalistic formula of sensationalistically analyzing and reporting negative hearsay just because he is merely at a low point in his career and at risk of writing additional hohum articles about successful organizations such as the San Antonio Spurs and or other NBA teams around the league?

Or is this response really just about a Spurs fan that occasionally gets hot under the collar whenever his team is again perceived to be the annual pretender to the throne, a less than admirable version of a true championship team, winner and holder of a tarnished trophy?

I stopped reading when he proved right off, that he doesn't know -all what he's talking about.

More often than not, San Antonio's success has NOT been based on the individual efforts of players like TD, or Manu. Christ, they've had so few great games, as to be invisible.

It's been great games by a Nazr, or Finley, or the entire bench...that has been pulling us through. , it's been more all around "team" scoring, and NOT TD, or Manu...more than any other year I can remember! It's been driving us all nuts..."where's TD?" "Where's Manu?"

Tony has had an awesome year, true. But, saying that our success has been based on the individual efforts of TD and Manu? He must be watching last years playoff clips...or old White Shadow re-runs. He sure as ain't watching the Spurs.

Watch a basketball game before you open your mouth fool.
