OK .. the Suns waived Jackson in order to sign ... Andre Barrett, a 5-foot-9 point guard who has been with Florida's NBA Development League team ???

    No joke, see http://www.azcentral.com/sports/suns.../0301suns.html

Im not worried about Dirk he always choaks in the playoffs, besides Bruce Bowen isnt any normal gaurd, he shut down the matrix last year all on his own.

Chris Bosh is a harder matchup for Bowen than Dirk Nowitzki.

Jim Jackson sucks. Tim Thomas sucks. Dirk will remain the most overrated player in the game until he proves he can actually win in the playoffs. Which he won't until Tim Duncan is out of the league, and maybe not even then, because by then he'll be up against Amare, who will own him just like Duncan owns him.

Size aside, Barrett is the best all-around point guard in the D-League. It's a fair bet that D'Asani sees the need for another true point on his team, now and for the future. Nash is playing career high minutes at age 32, and playing even less than that much has led to burnout problems in past playoffs.

Nash has a sore hammy and the Suns needed another practice player so they can scrimmage with Amare.

I have always loved Jim Jackson. I always think these players don't forget how to shoot even though they have gotten older. I don't see a problem bringing in a veteran with a good shot.

I like Spree better because his game would fit better, IMO. Though Jackson has actually played this season. Then again, GRobinson was able to contribute without prior court time.

As I said, he's about as good as you can get this time of year. Bound to get sore after that many minutes.
